As temperatures start to drop, you may be wondering how long your dog should spend outdoors. The answer depends on factors like their size, coat type, and age. Keep an eye out for signs they're getting too cold, such as slowing down, shivering, or lifting their paws. When you notice these cues, it's time to head inside and warm up.

Check out our Cold Weather Lookbook for more expert tips on keeping your pet safe and comfortable this season. 🐾❄️

Want to help make Halloween more accessible?

All kids deserve equal access to Halloween fun. That means disabled kids should be able to Trick or Treat with their friends and family and get to experience the joy firsthand.

If you have a step free home, or a ramp, or if you’d like to set up your candy station in a more accessible location (say in your driveway, for example) you can head to Pet Valu to pick up a Treat Accessibly sign to put in your yard this Halloween. This will indicate to kids with disabilities that they can accessibly trick or treat at your house.

Signs are free and can be picked up during store opening hours at Pet Valu in Churchill Square! Throughout the month they will become available at other Pet Valu locations in the area as well.

This is such a great idea and I hope more families get on board with this!

Thanks for the info Pet Valu - Churchill Square!
