🦃 Thanksgiving Hours 🦃

Binx is already dreaming about all that Thanksgiving turkey… hence the tongue. 😋🍗 Unfortunately for her, turkey dinner is staying on the humans’ plates. 😂 (maybe we can find her some turkey canned senior cat food 😜)

Bayfield Animal Hospital will be CLOSED Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving so our team can enjoy the holiday with their families (and fend off hopeful pets like Binx 👀).

We’ll be back to our regular hours on Tuesday!

Wishing all of our clients, patients, and their families a very happy Thanksgiving! 🤎🐾 we are truly so thankful for you all 🥰

Meet Bo! 🐾💙

Bo has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), which means the part of his brain responsible for balance and coordination didn’t fully develop. Because of this, Bo may be a little wobbly on his feet and move a bit differently than other dogs — but CH is not painful or progressive, and dogs with CH can live long, happy lives with a few accommodations. 🥰

Bo was lucky enough to be adopted by a wonderful family who loves him exactly as he is. 💙 swipe to see the best older sister Daisy

He may have a little extra wobble in his step, but it certainly doesn’t slow him down — and we think it just makes him that much more special. 🐾✨

Pets with special needs can have an incredible quality of life with the right care and support. If you ever have questions about your pet’s mobility, coordination, or development, don’t hesitate to chat with your veterinary team. 💙

A Round for Rylee 🤎⛳️

Bayfield Animal Hospital is so proud to sponsor a hole at A Round for Rylee, supporting a very special little girl and her family.

Rylee is growing up in the same area Dr. Tait grew up in and Dr. Tait’s parents are longtime friends of Rylee’s grandparents and are out on the course today supporting her. 🤍

Rylee was diagnosed with an FBXO11 genetic mutation, an extremely rare condition with very limited research currently available. Her family is working incredibly hard to raise awareness and funds to help advance research and, ultimately, the development of gene therapy for Rylee and others affected by FBXO11.

We’re honoured to play a small part in supporting this incredible family and the hope that research can bring. 🧬🤎

Here’s to a great round, an amazing cause, and a future filled with more answers for Rylee. ⛳️ if you wish to find out more or donate please visit www.ryleesroad.ca Rylee

Driving hope. Changing lives. A Round for Rylee.

Happy RVT Month! 🐾💙

This month we’re celebrating two of the incredible people who keep Bayfield Animal Hospital running — Krista & Jenna! 🩺🐶🐱

From patient care and comforting nervous pets to supporting our clients and keeping our days moving, RVTs are such an important part of veterinary medicine. We’re so lucky to have these two on our team. 🤍

Show Krista & Jenna some love this RVT Month! 🐾✨

The day may start with a little worry… but it ends with a happy tail 💙🐾

Come along with Kobe as she goes through her surgery day at Bayfield Animal Hospital — from her morning check-in, to her procedure, to waking up surrounded by a team who cares. 🥰

Every patient has a story, and we’re grateful to be part of Kobe’s. 🐶✨

Meet Onyx 🐾🖤

Onyx the Maine C**n came in showing off some seriously impressive paws — two extra toes on every. single. foot. 😍

He’s a polydactyl kitty, meaning he was born with more toes than the standard issue. And because apparently being a Maine C**n wasn’t impressive enough, Onyx decided he needed the extra-large paw package. 🐾

More toes = more toe beans = more to love. 🤍

Lulu may be tiny, but she’s already VERY good at stealing hearts. 🥹💗

This 5 week old sweet little girl came in to see us and had the whole team completely obsessed — I mean… those blue eyes, those tiny paws, that little pink nose?! 😭🐾

We absolutely love getting to meet our patients when they’re this little and watching them grow up visit after visit. Welcome to the Bayfield family, Lulu! 💕🐶

✨ KITTEN KRAZE 🐱🐾

We’ve been in a bit of a Kitten Kraze lately… and we’re definitely not complaining. 🥹🤎

Tiny toe beans, curious whiskers, lots of purrs and even more cuddles — these little faces have been keeping us very entertained around the clinic.

Keep the kittens coming! 🐱🩺✨

Meet Beau 🤍🐾

Dr. Tait has had the pleasure of seeing this sweet guy for over 5 years for acupuncture — and we love that he continues his treatments with us here at Bayfield Animal Hospital!

Veterinary acupuncture can be a wonderful addition to a pet’s treatment plan, particularly for managing chronic pain, arthritis, mobility concerns, neurologic conditions and muscle tension. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture can help with pain modulation, circulation and overall comfort — and many pets find their sessions incredibly relaxing. 🩵

For Beau, acupuncture has been part of his routine for years, helping support his comfort and mobility as he gets older. And as you can see, he’s become quite the acupuncture pro. 🥹

One of the best parts of veterinary medicine is getting to care for the same patients year after year. We’re so happy to keep being part of Beau’s care. 🤎

Interested in whether acupuncture could benefit your pet? Ask our team at your next visit! 🐾
