🐾❤️ SURPRISE UPDATE — GAEA WASN’T FINISHED! ❤️🐾
Well… apparently when we thought Gaea was finished at 6, Mama had other plans! 😂
After taking a well-deserved break and settling in with her babies, Gaea quietly surprised us with TWO more puppies!
Our updated total is now:
🐶 8 beautiful Boxer babies
🩵 5 boys
🩷 3 girls
We have a beautiful mix of fawns, flashy fawns and whites, and everyone is now settling in with Mama.
Gaea has been absolutely incredible through her first delivery and has taken naturally to caring for her little family. ❤️
Needless to say, after the long wait yesterday and an eventful early morning, Northern Nic’l Boxers is officially a very busy nursery! 🐾
We’ll be sharing individual introductions, photos, weights and updates once Mama and her babies have had some time to rest.
Welcome to the world, all EIGHT of you! ❤️🐶🐾

🐾❤️ THEY’RE HERE! — GAEA × MOOSE ❤️🐾
After keeping us waiting through one very long day and night, Gaea officially became a mama early this morning! 🥹❤️

We are thrilled to welcome 6 beautiful Boxer babies — 4 boys 🩵 and 2 girls 🩷!

Gaea did an incredible job and has settled beautifully into motherhood. Mama and her babies are now resting, nursing and enjoying some much-deserved quiet time together.
We have a beautiful little mix of flashy fawns and whites, each already showing their own unique markings and personalities.

Over the coming days, we’ll introduce each baby individually and share their photos, markings, weights and updates as they grow.

For now, our focus is simply on Gaea and her six little ones, making sure everyone is comfortable, content and getting plenty of time with Mama. ❤️
Welcome to the world, little ones! 🐶🐾

🐾❤️ NORTHERN NIC’L BOXERS — THE X-RAY IS IN! ❤️🐾

The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here… Gaea’s pregnancy X-ray is complete! 🩻🐶

And there they are — tiny skulls, little spines and our next generation of Northern Nic’l Boxers! ❤️
After weeks of watching these babies develop on ultrasound, seeing their little skeletons on X-ray makes everything suddenly feel VERY real. Gaea is doing wonderfully, the babies are growing, and we are officially entering the final stretch before their anticipated mid-September arrival.

This litter is particularly special to our family and to Northern Nic’l Boxers.

Moose is one of our beloved Talia’s boys from her very first litter, and through him, a piece of the bloodline started by our beautiful matriarch continues into another generation. ❤️ Talia may no longer be here with us, but her legacy continues — and now Gaea is beginning her own chapter as a mama alongside him.

We had previously seen several little ones developing on ultrasound, but ultrasound was never about getting an exact puppy count for us — it was about watching their development, seeing those tiny heartbeats and knowing they were growing. ❤️

Now we have our first X-ray look at the crew!
There are quite a few little bodies overlapping in there, so while we have a pretty good idea of what we may be expecting, we’re going to keep everyone guessing for just a little longer. 😉

👀 ZOOM IN ON THE X-RAY… HOW MANY PUPPIES CAN YOU SPOT?

Drop your guess in the comments! ⬇️🐶
Let’s see who gets closest to the number of little Northern Nic’l babies that ultimately arrive!
Over the coming days I’ll be sharing more updates as Gaea gets closer to delivery, our preparations for whelping, and of course, once the time comes… the babies themselves. 🥰
We cannot wait to meet them.
The puppy countdown is officially ON! 🐾❤️
