Board & Train life is exhausting. 😴💤

After a day filled with training, adventures, and learning new skills, Focaccia is officially off duty... and sawing logs like a seasoned professional. 😂

It's easy to focus on the training sessions, but rest and recovery are just as important. Puppies learn best when they have a healthy balance of work, play, and sleep.

Safe to say someone had a productive day. ❤️🐾

☀️🐾 Suns out, tongues out! 🐾☀️

Nothing beats a beautiful day spent practicing real-world recall skills with great friends. These three pups are learning that coming when called doesn't mean the fun ends—it means good things happen when they choose to check in and stay connected with their people.

Reliable recall is one of the most important life skills a dog can learn, and building it in exciting environments helps create success when it matters most.

Who else is taking advantage of this sunshine? 🌞🐶

Recall isn't about saying "come" louder or repeating the cue over and over.

It's about building value in choosing to engage with you.

At the start of this session, Focaccia was much more interested in exploring her environment than checking in with me. Through engagement games, movement, reinforcement, and making training fun, we started to see faster responses, more focus, and voluntary check-ins.

My favourite part? The moments where she chose to come over and engage without any prompting at all. 🐾

Those voluntary check-ins are the foundation of a strong relationship and reliable recall.

Focaccia is here for a two-week board & train and already settling in so nicely 💛

During her stay we’ll be focusing on recall, responsiveness to cues, confidence building, and positive socialization experiences. She’s such a sweet girl with the gentlest soul — and she’s already stolen our hearts around here 🐾

We can’t wait to watch her grow over the next two weeks!

11 years with my girl. 🤍

I honestly don’t know where the time has gone, but I do know how lucky I am to have experienced so much of life with Dahlia by my side. Through every season, every high and every hard moment, she’s always been there — steady, loyal, and somehow always knowing exactly what I need.

Today was all about celebrating her favourite things: filling up the pool for a swim, special treats, a long evening walk to the turtle pond, spotting deer along the way, and of course her very own turtle toy to bring home. 🐢

Happy 11th birthday to my heart dog. I’m so grateful for every adventure, every quiet moment, and every year we’ve shared together. Here's hoping for many more 🤍
