🐾💙 Double the Pomeranian cuteness at the clinic! 🐶🐶

Mylo came in to see Dr. Aidin for his annual wellness exam, with his best buddy Chip tagging along for some extra moral support! 🥰

During his visit, Mylo received his vaccines, routine bloodwork, and a f***l test to help make sure he’s happy, healthy, and thriving. 🩺✨

And of course, Chip was there to make sure Mylo didn’t have to go through his appointment alone! 🐾💕

A big thank you to Mylo and Chip for brightening our day and to Dr. Aidin for giving these two handsome boys the care and attention they deserve! 💙

🐾✨ Happy Veterinary Assistant Week! ✨🐾

This week we’re celebrating three incredible members of our team, Diane, Aaron, and Evelyn!

Diane, thank you for your compassion, dedication, and the countless ways you make a difference for our patients, clients, and team every single day. ❤️

Aaron… while you’ll never catch him volunteering for a photo (he’s definitely our camera-shy VA 😅), everyone who knows him knows just how kind, hardworking, and dependable he is. He’s the type of person who quietly goes above and beyond, and we’re lucky to have him on our team.

And Evelyn, your kindness shines through in everything you do. Whether you’re caring for our patients or supporting your teammates, your gentle heart makes a lasting impact. Thank you for the warmth and compassion you bring to our hospital.

Veterinary assistants are the helping hands behind so much of what happens in our hospital, and we couldn’t do it without them.

Please join us in showing Diane, Aaron and Evelyn some well-deserved appreciation this Veterinary Assistant Week! 💙🐶🐱

🦷 Big Smiles for Toby! 🦷

Today, we had a very special VIP (Very Important Pup) in the clinic! Meet Toby, the beloved fur-baby of our wonderful receptionist, Mikaela.

Toby spent his day with us for a dental procedure with Dr. Paul and our RVT, Denise.

As a brachycephalic boy, Toby requires an extra-detailed level of care. Due to their unique airways, brachycephalic breeds need highly specialized attention under anesthesia.
Denise, our RVT, kept a hawk-eye on Toby’s vitals and airway from the second he fell asleep to the moment he was fully awake and wagging his tail!

Dr. Paul successfully extracted a few troublesome teeth, and Toby is already on his way to a much healthier mouth.

Why are pet dentals so important?

Dental disease does not just cause bad breath it can lead to chronic pain and even affect vital organs like the heart and kidneys. No matter the breed, keeping those pearly whites clean is a massive part of their overall health.

Toby did absolutely amazing and is currently recovering with extra cuddles from Mikaela. Sending Toby some love!! 🧡

Just a little cuteness overload to get the week started! 🥕

This is Pumpkin, and he was the absolute perfect gentleman for his nail trim with RVT Amanda and ACA Aaron.

Did you know? A rabbit’s nails and teeth never stop growing! This means that their nails can grow incredibly fast. In the wild, they would constantly wear them down by digging burrows but since our house bunnies live a life of luxury on soft carpets and blankets, they need a little human help to keep those nails short and safe!

If your pet (big, small, or extra fluffy!) needs routine care like a nail trim, vaccine booster, or other injection, you don’t always need to wait for a doctor’s schedule. You can book a dedicated Technician Appointment to get them in and out quickly!

We proudly welcome rabbits at our clinic! Call us to get your sweet bunny on our schedule. 🐰

Pretty girl alert! 💕 Meet Gizelle, who stopped by for a nail trim today! ✨ She filled the clinic with the sweetest little squeaks and was an absolute delight from start to finish.
We could not get enough of her adorable personality (or that precious face! 🥹).
🐾 Fun fact: Guinea pig nails grow mostly straight, much like a rabbit’s, unlike dogs’ and cats’ nails, which naturally grow in a curved shape.
Regular nail trims are important to keep them comfortable and help prevent overgrowth.
Did you know we see guinea pigs, rabbits, and rats at our clinic? 💚 Whether it’s annual wellness exams, nail trims, health concerns, or other routine care, we’re happy to help keep your small furry family members healthy and thriving.
Thank you for visiting us, Gizelle! You were such a sweet, squeaky little superstar, and we can’t wait to see you again. 💖💅🏻

Every patient has a story, and Winnie's is one of incredible resilience. 🥹❤️

Winnie Darling is a 7-year-old English Cocker Spaniel who was rescued from Turkey by her loving owners, Rox and Michelle.

Before finding her forever home, Winnie spent the beginning of her life in a puppy mill, where she is suspected to have lost her vision and developed weakness in her hind legs from
prolonged confinement. She also suffered severe dental disease, requiring the extraction of 10 teeth after years of chewing on cage bars.

For the past two years, Winnie has been surrounded by the love and care she always deserved. Her family has been dedicated to keeping her comfortable, happy, and pain-free—and it shows in everything they do.

One of Winnie's favourite companions is Charles, her 18-year-old feline best friend. The two have shared a special bond since the day Winnie came home, and they're rarely found far apart, often cuddling together. ❤️🐶🐱

On June 3, 2026, Winnie underwent a bilateral enucleation (double eye removal) at LeGallais Veterinary Hospital. Although she was already blind, her eyes had become a source of ongoing pain. The goal of surgery was simple: to give Winnie the comfort and quality of life she deserved.

Recovery took patience and teamwork. 🤝

Following surgery, Winnie went home with pain medication, antibiotics, and an E-collar to protect her surgical sites. During her first recheck, our team identified a mild infection in her left eye socket. Thanks to early intervention, including gentle flushing and additional antibiotics, the infection resolved well.

Over the following weeks, Winnie returned for regular post-operative examinations so we could monitor her healing:
🐾 First Recheck on June 11: Infection identified and treated.

🐾 Second Recheck on June 13: Swelling and discharge significantly improved.

🐾 Third Recheck on June 18: Excellent healing with no redness or inflammation. Final flush performed and sutures removed.

🐾 Fourth and Final Recheck on June 25: Fully healed and cleared to return to normal life—cone off and all smiles! ☺️

Winnie's story is a wonderful reminder that surgery is only one part of the recovery process. Regular post-operative rechecks allow veterinary teams to monitor healing, identify concerns before they become serious, manage pain effectively, and ensure every patient is recovering as expected.

Today, Winnie continues to navigate the world with confidence, supported by her incredible family and guided by love instead of sight.

Thank you, Rox and Michelle, for trusting us with Winnie's care and for giving her the second chance every dog deserves. We're so proud to have been part of your journey, Winnie. Here's to a future filled with comfort, cuddles, and many more happy days. ❤️🐾
