RCMP investigation into criminal harassment leads to firearm charges
On October 8, 2025, at 3:00 pm, Oakbank RCMP responded to a complaint on Willowdale Road in the RM of Springfield. A 53-year-old female reported that her power had been purposely disconnected at her home.
The victim advised police that this was the second time this had occurred, the first taking place on July 31, 2025, leading her to believe that she was being targeted.
The investigation led to identification of a suspect, a 54-year-old male, and a subsequent seizure of fi****ms from a residence located in the RM of Springfield. The fi****ms were found improperly stored.
Officers also learned that some the suspects fi****ms were not accounted for as per his fi****ms licence and a Warrant of Arrest was issued.
On October 14, 2025, the Manitoba RCMP East District Crime Reduction Enforcement Team (CREST) located Bradley Watchorn, 54, and executed the warrant of arrest. He was charged with Criminal harassment and Unsafe storage of a firearm and released on conditions.
On December 10, 2025, RCMP officers with Manitoba RCMP East District CREST, Emergency Response Team and from the Powerview Detachment executed a search warrant at a residence located on Zebrun Road in the RM of Alexander.
Bradley Watchorn was arrested a second time without incident. The search led to the seizure of additional fi****ms and ammunition contrary to his release conditions.
Watchorn was remanded into custody and further charged with:
• Unsafe storage of a firearm x 2
• Fail to comply with an undertaking x 2
The ex*****on of the warrant led to the seizure of three restricted fi****ms, 16 rifles and ammunition.
Oakbank RCMP continue to investigate.
