*we also take seasonal boarders, at this time we are not offering foaling services to outside mares*
We take pride in keeping our own horses in top shape and know that retirement and growing years can be a concern for boarders. Your horse would be well taken care of β in a setting with our own horses of all life stages. Each year we have our own pregnant broodmares needing tending while they grow the next generation, young horses needing a steady hand to teach and our golden years kids that need a little extra TLC especially in those colder months.
For those with concerns about the drinking posts β we have found these to be a great asset to our program. No stagnant water to grow algae, bugs to drown in potentially passing on PHV and never running dry. Horses learn these posts quickly, and we ensure that they maintain appropriate water consumption in the few days it takes for them to learn. This teaching process takes place while new horses are in quarantine β so lots of one on one attention during this settling in time.
Our small winter groups are based on horses who get along and who have similar feed needs (for those being supplemented).
