Meet Lou!

Lou is an eleven week old kitten who is the last of his litter looking for a home. Lou is a short haired tuxedo kitten. Lou is an extremely affectionate kitten who comes running when he sees his humans. He is playful and brave with lots of kitten energy.

Best home for me?
The best home for Lou would be a family with another kitten or playful cat who he can spend lots of time with.

Meet Pirate and Patches, a bonded pair of sisters!

Pirate and Patches are a bonded pair of 8-year-old females who came to Cats for Keeps when their owner could no longer care for them. They have always been together and lived wonderful lives with their very own special person until earlier this year. Both Pirate (named because she has only one eye) and Patches (named because she has... patches) are very sweet and gentle companions.

These two sisters love to find a comfortable spot to settle in together and relax. A sunny spot is especially desirable. And windows with a view would be an extra special bonus.

Best home for us?
Pirate and Patches are looking for a quiet home with someone who will be their forever person. Pirate has had only one eye since she was very young. That certainly doesn't impact her at all. Patches just had quite a number of teeth removed and she is feeling herself once again!

Both Pirate and Patches have been spayed, received their vaccinations and been microchipped. They have had excellent vet care all of their lives and have never experienced anything but love from the people in their lives. They are just really hoping to find another special family to love them for the rest of their lives.

Today is Lucas's ONE YEAR anniversary with the rescue. He had his first birthday on May 17. He was adopted for 5 months, but returned to us after he developed FHS. He has made progress since he came back 3 months ago, and we hope he will continue to improve and he will find a happy forever home

Meet Caliente!

Caliente (Cali) was born in a barn and had very limited exposure to humans before she was trapped. Since coming into Cats for Keeps care in late January, she has been learning that people can be kind and that indoor life can be safe and comfortable. With patience and gentle encouragement from her fosters, she is learning to trust.

Caliente is a 10-month-old beautiful DMH Calico with silky fur like a Maine C**n and long fluffy tail. She wants very much to be friends with her foster but still finds people a little scary. Her progress so far has been incredible, and with continued patience she is going to make a wonderful companion.

Caliente now watches while her foster mum does jigsaw puzzles in the evenings, quietly keeping her company and inching a little closer as her confidence grows. She will come running for any flavour of squeeze treat!! She's allowed to roam her foster house and has fallen in love with the eight year old black male cat who lives there.

Her favourite toys are plastic springs and a wand toy with a fuzzy worm on the end.

Best home for Caliente?
The ideal home for Caliente would be with someone patient and understanding who will allow her to continue learning to trust at her own pace. A calm home where she can feel safe and supported will help her continue to blossom. Caliente LOVES other cats, so a home with another kitty to keep her company would be a MUST.

For someone with a big heart and lots of patience, our beautiful Caliente will reward you in a huge way with her trust and love.

Caliente has been spayed, tested negative on snap test, received her vaccinations and has been microchipped. She has a clean bill of health.

Wow. We’re still trying to catch our breath after an incredible evening!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, bid, volunteered, sponsored, shared our posts, bought raffle tickets, and cheered us on at our Dinner Auction. Because of your generosity, we can continue helping cats and kittens in need find safety, care, and loving homes.

To our supporters: you showed up ready to eat, laugh, and engage in some very competitive bidding. We saw some of you guarding your auction items like cats guarding a sunny windowsill. 😹

Every dollar raised will help provide food, veterinary care, supplies, and shelter for the cats who depend on us. While the event may be over, the rescue work continues every single day—and thanks to you, we’re better equipped to do it.

From the bottom of our hearts (and from every purring foster cat currently occupying someone’s lap), thank you for making this event such a success.
