👑🐾 Happy 5 Years, Artemis! 🐾👑

Yesterday we celebrated a very special milestone — 5 years since Artemis (aka “Artie”) joined the Cumberland County Animal Hospital family!

Artie is truly the king of the castle here and our unofficial Head of Patient Care. If you ask anyone in the clinic, we all basically work for him — and he runs things just the way he likes it!

Affectionately known as “Uncle Artie,” he has a special way with our clinic kittens. He takes them under his paw from the moment they arrive — grooming them, cuddling them, playing with them, and helping them feel safe and loved as they grow.

Artie is also incredibly intuitive and emotionally intelligent. He always seems to know when a staff member needs a little extra comfort, quietly showing up to curl into a lap and offer support. His timing is somehow always perfect.

He cares deeply for all animals in the clinic. If a patient is nervous, sick, or recovering, Artie is often nearby — whether it’s a cat needing reassurance or even a dog who could use a calm presence. He never seems far from anyone who needs him.

We were so lucky when Artie was surrendered to us five years ago. He has truly found his place here and thrives in the clinic environment, bringing comfort, calm, and a whole lot of love every single day.

We honestly can’t imagine Cumberland County Animal Hospital without him.

🎉 Exciting News from Cumberland County Animal Hospital! 🎉

We’re happy to announce the launch of our brand new Springhill Remote Services Clinic!😻

This new remote clinic allows us to bring veterinary care closer to pets and families in the Springhill and surrounding areas, offering convenient access to professional care without the need to travel as far.

📆Our first clinic date will be Tuesday August 11th from 9am - 5pm at the Springhill Fire Department at 37 Miner's Memorial Drive.

We look forward to supporting your pets with the same compassionate, high-quality care you expect from Cumberland County Animal Hospital.

🐾💙 Happy Veterinarian Appreciation Day! 💙🐾

Today, we're celebrating the incredible veterinarians who are the heart of Cumberland County Animal Hospital — Dr. Mike & Dr. Franny.

From puppy and kitten wellness visits to senior pet care, surgeries, diagnostics, bloodwork, x-rays, dental procedures, vaccinations, and everything in between, they dedicate their days to helping animals live healthier, happier lives.

Veterinary medicine is more than a profession—it's a calling. It requires compassion, dedication, knowledge, patience, and a deep love for animals. Every day, Dr. Mike & Dr. Franny work tirelessly to care for the pets who mean so much to our families, offering comfort during difficult moments and celebrating the happy ones right alongside us.

🎬🍿 Summer nights are better together! 🍿🎬

We're excited to sponsor Amherst's 7-week FREE Friday Night Movie in the Park series alongside Maggie's Place Cumberland and the Town of Amherst, NS , Amherst Community Living and Recreation Department !

Every Friday for 7 weeks, we'll be gathering at Rotary Park at 25 Willow Street to enjoy family activities, community connections, and a movie at dusk. Our first move is Friday July 17th!

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family, and friends and enjoy an evening of outdoor fun. Family games and activities begin at 6:30 PM, followed by a movie under the stars at dusk.

Don't forget to visit the canteen for snacks and refreshments, with proceeds supporting the wonderful programs offered by Maggie's Place.
