A little omega goodness goes a long way!

As temperatures drop and the air gets drier, it's a great time to give your pet's wellness routine some extra attention.

Omega-3 fatty acids offer a variety of benefits for both dogs and cats, from nourishing their skin and coat to supporting joint mobility, heart health, and overall well-being.

Salmon and herring oils are excellent sources of omega-3s, while green-lipped mussels provide additional anti-inflammatory benefits and joint support!

Looking to add some omega goodness to your pet's bowl? Stop by Hearth & Hound and chat with our team about finding the right option for your furry friend!

Wellness Wednesday: Let's Talk Pumpkin!

Pumpkin isn't just a fall favourite! It's also a nutritious addition to your pet's diet, with some pretty amazing benefits.

One of pumpkin's biggest benefits is its fibre content. Depending on your pet's digestive needs, pumpkin can help firm up loose stools OR soften hard stools, making it a great way to support healthy digestion and regularity.

It's also a natural source of beta-carotene and antioxidants, which support healthy vision and overall wellness!

What about dogs vs. cats? Both can benefit from pumpkin! While it's especially popular for digestive support in dogs, cats can enjoy its benefits too.

Looking to add some pumpkin to your pet's routine? We've got you covered! At Hearth & Hound, we carry pumpkin purée, pumpkin powder, and pumpkin goat milk!

Wellness Wednesday: Treats Count Too!

We all love giving our pets a little something extra, and they definitely don’t mind either!

Treats are great for training, rewarding and bonding, but even the smallest snacks can add up throughout the day. The good news? Pets are usually just as excited about a tiny treat as they are about a big one!

Swipe through for a few simple ways to keep treat time balanced while still spoiling them a little.

Come check out our selection of Canadian-made treats for dogs and cats!

Please note that Hearth & Hound will be closed on September 30th in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
We will reopen with regular hours on October 1st.

Does your pup struggle with seasonal or environmental allergies?

Bovine colostrum has gained attention as a natural way to support immune function and gut health. It’s naturally rich in antibodies, lactoferrin and other compounds that may help support a balanced immune response.

It’s not a cure for allergies, but it can be an interesting addition to a dog’s overall wellness routine.

We carry THRIVE Bovine Colostrum Powder by Big Country Raw in-store if you’re curious to try it!
