Meet Darla ❤️
Darla is a beautiful 4-year-old Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with a heart as big as her smile. This sweet girl is loving, gentle, friendly, and happiest when she's right by your side. Whether she's leaning in for affection, soaking up endless pets, or simply keeping you company, Darla's favorite place is wherever her people are. She also has a playful side and enjoys having fun with her family when the time is right.
Darla is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which will require ongoing veterinary care, scheduled appointments, oral medications at certain stages, and strict activity restrictions while she heals. Her treatment has already begun and will take several months to complete. Through it all, ADHS will cover the cost of Darla’s heartworm treatment and all related medical expenses, so her future family can focus on giving her love, stability, and a calm environment to recover.
Darla is looking for a foster-to-adopt home that can support her through this important healing period and continue her care locally with veterinary follow-ups. In return, she will reward you with unwavering loyalty, gentle companionship, and a heart full of love just waiting to be shared.
