Haven't posted in a bit. Puppies are 3 weeks and got an expansion for their whelping box.

Been busy keeping things clean and catching up on other things as they don't need to be as closely monitored.

Puppies can walk around and wag their tails when I go into the pen. They are eating more now that they are bigger. Needle teeth package is now installed, so need for armored foot ware may need to be employed.

And, it begins.

Offered food yesterday and it just wasn't a hit, so Eggs got a lovely, sizable snack.

Today, offered some food (and I love doing it "charcuterie style" at this age), and they almost devoured the entirety. Eggs still got a snack, but just not as much of one.

All but one puppy indulge on their new eats.

No music over this. Sound up if you what to hear the noises we start to play at 2 weeks old.

Many dogs are afraid of fireworks, and thunder. They can overreact at dog barking or door bells ringing. The cower at the sounds of household appliances or run from vacuumes.

We try to introduce them to some sounds that would be relatively common in an everyday world. We want our dogs to grow and be confident in the world around them.

Mom had this same treatment when she was a puppy. The only thing she isnt into right now is the dogs barking, but that is due to hormones and the fact she has babies she feels she needs to keep safe.

Dont mind the background. I have a mattress that I sleep on next to the whelping box. I sleep with them for the first 4 weeks to ensure everyone is doing well.

First course of dewormer done. This is a 3 day course. Little peepers are coming in too. Vermithor is already starting to chew on his siblings. Pups are getting skilled at moving. Walking is soon on the horizon.
