On September 12th, our littlest horse lovers are invited to spend the morning getting to know their pony, enjoying a pony ride, grooming and brushing, and taking their pony through a fun little obstacle course! 🪮🐴💕

We’ll also be capturing plenty of sweet moments throughout the experience, plus a group photo to remember the day! 📸✨

What a summer it’s been! 🐴☀️ From spending our days at the barn and enjoying the sunshine to learning, riding, getting creative, playing games, and making new friends, our campers filled the summer with so many special moments and memories. 💕✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this summer and made our camps so much fun! 🥰 We’re definitely sad to see summer camp come to an end, but we’re already looking forward to our next camps and all the exciting things happening around the farm! 🌻🐎

Forever in our hearts, Mimosa❤️

Last week we had to say goodbye to our beloved Mimosa. It’s hard to say goodbye, especially when a horse has only been with you for a short time but somehow manages to leave such a lasting mark.

Mimosa came into our lives and immediately made herself at home. She was gentle, affectionate, and had a heart that seemed to have room for everyone. She loved her people, got along with all the horses, and had a way of making everyone around her feel comfortable.

Although our time with her was much too short, she gave us moments that we will cherish forever. She was loved by our riders, our team, and everyone lucky enough to meet her.

Sometimes we don’t get as much time with a horse as we wish we could. But we’re grateful for every day we had with you, Mimosa, and for all the love you brought to our barn. 🐴🤍

Run free, sweet girl. You will always have a special place here, and you will never be forgotten. 🌈

🩷 Meet The Horse Monday: Aphrodite 🩷

Hi, I’m Aphrodite aka Aphro aka “Goddess of Love”! 🐴💕 I came to Smiling Faces Equestrian in April 2023 after my previous lesson barn closed down and I needed a new home. Thankfully, I found my forever home here at SFE, where I’m loved, cared for, and thoroughly spoiled! 🥰

I’m a 20-year-old, 15-hand Palomino Quarter Horse, and I spent many years in the show jumping world, so I definitely know my way around the arena! These days, though, I’ve decided that retirement is much more my style. I love taking things at a calmer pace and especially enjoy teaching beginners. 💕

But my favourite part of life at SFE? The kids! I absolutely love all the attention, cuddles, and treats they bring my way. I’ve even become a bit of a four-legged canvas from time to time! 🎨🐴 The kids love painting on me, and I don’t mind one bit — I’m always happy to be part of the fun!

When I’m not teaching or posing for my next masterpiece, you can usually find me enjoying my favourite treats: mints and Lick-Its! 🍬 Just don’t try to offer me any exotic fruits… those are definitely on my “no thank you” list! 😂

These days, I’m happily enjoying my retirement chapter alongside my best friends, Olive and Hershey, and soaking up all the love that comes with being one of SFE’s most adored girls. 💗✨
