Chillin’ with Freddy!
Seeing this affectionate boy again was the highlight of our weekend. While he does enjoy a select few toys occasionally, calm, cool and collected is how we describe him best!

I see you 👀 .. Watching closely but feeling safe in the moment. ..

It’s been a little over a year since we started caring for princess Lily. She still feels a little shy with non-members of her family, but she has made great strides, and we recognize even the small moments.

The stairs continue to be Lily’s safe place and that is OK with us! Thank you for showing us your belly Lily, see you again soon! 💜

Portland and Midnite are becoming more comfortable with each visit. They are a bonded pair with a loving family, but can be shy and nervous around strangers. They now welcome face and back scratches, give heads boops and ask for brushes during visits.
These are the most rewarding of times! 🖤🩶🤍

Fun fact: Cats basically domesticated themselves! About 10,000 years ago, they started hanging around human settlements to snack on rodents. Humans were happy to have free pest control while cats were more than pleased to have a warm place to stay and be eat!

What’s more: Cats and humans are capable of forming strong bonds, as cats can recognize our voices, learn our routines, and respond to our emotions. Over thousands of years, they’ve learned to live alongside us while still keeping their wonderfully independent personalities, which is exactly what makes them such amazing companions. 🐾

You know a cat loves you when she lets you trim her claws and hold her like a baby! Andi and Jag have a unique bond and are incredibly close. And when Andi cares for her, she loves to be held, receive kisses on the head, and bird watch!
