Royal Cavaliers

10/12/2026

This Thanksgiving we are thankful for this amazing breed. Thank you to all our wonderful families for trusting us and giving amazing homes to our puppies, our amazing co breeders, guardian homes, groomers and veterinary team. Roxy and Bridget for cuteness and attention.

Myth: Cavaliers are just lap dogs.

They certainly love a lap, but that is only half the story. Their spaniel roots often show up in a love of walks, sniffing, games, and short training sessions. Give them age-appropriate ways to move and think, and many are just as happy outdoors as they are curled up beside you.

They may end the day on your lap, but they often want an adventure first.

Which do you see more: cuddle mode or spaniel mode?

Myth: Cavaliers are yappy (barking) little dogs.

Mostly, they're not. Cavaliers are known as one of the quieter toy breeds. They'll let you know someone's at the door, or be excited to see you, but endless barking isn't their thing.

What they are known for is sticking close, following you room to room, supervising dinner, curling up wherever their people are.

What surprised you most when you first met a Cavalier?
