🐾 A New Chapter at Doggy Shop Grooming 🐾
I’m excited to finally introduce myself as the new owner of Doggy Shop Grooming, as of July 1st!
For those I haven’t had the chance to meet yet, my name is Wendy. I’ve spent much of my career working in pet nutrition and the pet food industry, with a strong interest in how nutrition influences the health, wellbeing and quality of life of our dogs.
One of the things that has always fascinated me about grooming is the unique relationship groomers develop with the dogs in their care. Groomers see their clients regularly and up close. They notice changes in skin and coat, body condition, mobility, ears, paws, behaviour and overall wellbeing—sometimes before anyone else does.
To me, that creates an exciting connection between nutrition, grooming and the physical expression of health.
I’m looking forward to exploring that connection while continuing to make Doggy Shop Grooming first and foremost a place where dogs are treated with kindness, patience and exceptional care.
Most importantly, I feel incredibly fortunate to have inherited such a talented team. The groomers at Doggy Shop are skilled, hardworking and genuinely care about the dogs and people they work with every day. My role isn’t simply to grow the business—it’s to support this team, invest in their development and help create opportunities for them to continue growing in their careers.
Over the coming months, I’m looking forward to meeting more of our clients, learning from our groomers, and finding new ways we can support the health and happiness of the dogs who walk through our doors.
