I started Hognose Haven in 2023 when I decided to turn my dream into a reality

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well! Sorry for the lack of updates, been very busy this past month.

🐍 All 17 babies are doing well! 🐍

There's one overachiever who has eaten every meal offered, a handful that have needed some help, and everything in between.

One has even had their first growth shed 😃

I'm making my final decisions regarding holdbacks (the ones I want to keep) and will begin reaching out to those on the waitlist in the next few days!

We have 6 healthy babies:
1 Normal/Wild Type
3 Arctic
2 Arctic Conda

This wraps up the 2026 season.

Unfortunately, I also had 3 slug clutches this year. But the most important thing is that every female laid successfully, recovered well, and is doing great!

📝If you're on the waitlist, I'll start contacting people in order once the babies are well established and have had 7+ consecutive unscented meals (possibly mid Aug)😊

🐍11 Super Condas have hatched and moved into their hatchling bins! 🐍

Somehow I ended up with 12 empty eggshells but only 11 babies. 😅 One little escape artist is currently MIA somewhere in the incubator, so I'll be tearing it apart as soon as the second and final clutch finishes hatching in a few days.

Hatch weights ranged from 4.15g to 6.04g, with an average of 5.18g

So far, 5 of the babies have already accepted their first meals!

Initial visual s*x guesses: 6 probable females, 5 probable males. These will be confirmed once they're older.

🐍🥚 All 12 eggs have now pipped! 🥚🐍

Ever seen a hognose play ded while still inside the egg? Me neither! But when I gently rubbed the egg to get a tongue flick and make sure the baby was ok, it gave me a dramatic display instead 😂

So far:
4 completely out
5 almost out
3 heads peaking

🥚🐍 First clutch of the season has started hatching!! 🐍🥚

Basim x Roshan's Super Arctic clutch
Super Arctic het Albino het Axanthic x Super Arctic

So far:
2 snoots peeking out
1 is halfway out and taking a nap
1 has slit the egg

The coolest part? Last night I was lucky enough to record a baby's very first tongue flicks through the egg! I'll post the video soon.

Now the hardest part begins... waiting for everyone to decide they're ready to come out 😁

What an amazing weekend! This Expo felt nonstop busy from start to finish — I was having such a great time meeting everyone that I completely forgot to take photos and forgot to post anything all weekend 😂

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth, asked questions, shared stories, or came to meet the snakes. Seeing so many people excited about hognoses always makes these shows incredibly special ❤️

And of course, massive thanks to all of the volunteers who make the Expo possible — events like this couldn’t happen without you!

Already looking forward to the September Expo. Until then, keep those snouts up!

🥚🐍Roshan laid 15 eggs yesterday!! 🐍🥚

• 13 fertile
• 1 possible
• 1 slug

Best and most important part — she got all her eggs out and is doing great 💪🐍

Pairing: Basim - Super Arctic het Albino x Roshan - Super Arctic
👉 All babies will be Super Arctic het Albino
Approx. hatch date: June 23

FUN FACT:
Last year Roshan ate at least 4–5 of the best looking eggs, leaving me with 6 “meh” eggs. Unfortunately only 1 of those eggs hatched.
