Today, we had to say goodbye to our Bidouille. ❤️
32 years old… and 28 of those years spent by my side.
Bidouille was already there before Lisa and Lara were even born. He was almost like a big brother to them, already part of the family when they came into this world. Both of my girls learned to ride with him, just like so many other children over the years — our clients’ children, our friends’ children… I don’t even know how many little riders took their very first steps on horseback on Bidouille’s back.
He had a wonderful, long life with us. A life without illness, always healthy, always strong, always simply himself.
Sadly, today his time had come. We discovered a large tumour in his mouth that could not be treated. And despite this, our little fighter remained remarkably well until his very last breath.
After 28 years together, it is difficult to imagine that he simply won’t be there anymore.
It’s going to feel strange without you, Bidouille. Terribly strange.
You were part of our everyday life, but most of all, you were part of our family and of so many precious memories.
Thank you for all these years.
Thank you for Lisa and Lara.
Thank you for all the children you carried so patiently and kindly.
And thank you for sharing such a long and beautiful life with us.
Rest in peace, our Bidouille. 🤍
We are going to miss you more than words can say.
