Epleaser Z stands as one of the most influential sires of the modern era, with the highest percentage of 1.60 m offspring worldwide. A proven force in both elite sport and breeding, he partnered with Christian Ahlmann to claim major victories including the Grand Prix of Villach–Treffen and the Nations Cup of Aachen.

Forged by two of the greatest of their times, he is sired by Olympic team gold medallist For Pleasure, out of Valentina van ’t Heike, the Nabab de Rêve mare who won Team bronze at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky with Jos Lansink, an elite combination of bloodlines now reflected in Epleaser Z’s own offspring.

With only a few hundred offspring, over 30 have reached 1.50-1.60m, which of 15 are competing at 1.60m level. CSI5* Grand Prix winner Kalinka van de Nachtegaele, Equitron Melody vd Smidshoeve, multiple Grand Prix winner Kassandra van ’t Heike and Expecto du Vieux Chateau Do Santo Antonio are among the stars now carrying his legacy forward

Akarad Hero Z Offspring & Christian Kukuk crowned German Champions! 🥇🇩🇪

A fantastic achievement for the 10-year-old gelding Akarad Tivoli Z (Akarad Hero Z) and Christian Kukuk, who were crowned German Champions in Balve yesterday!

After producing five faultless rounds, including the decisive jump-off, the pair secured the coveted gold medal and the national title.

Congratulations to everyone involved and Akarad Tivoli’s breeders, Zwartjens Sporthorses! 👏🏻

A look back at our Z-Breeder event last Saturday. We welcomed our breeders for an insightful day, visiting three of Belgium’s leading breeding operations and concluding with a free jumping training.

𝐓𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐙
For nearly a decade, Tobago Z has been one of the most admired horses on the international circuit under Daniel Deusser, known for his cat-like reflexes, speed and exceptional carefulness.

Team silver at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam, multiple 5* Grand Prix and World Cup victories, including Rolex Grand Prix wins in Wellington and The Dutch Masters, the LGCT Super Grand Prix in Prague, and runner-up in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen.

This consistency saw him top the FEI WBFSH Breeders Ranking and crowned Zangersheide Horse of the Year in the Z-ranking 2022–2023.

Sired by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve out of the 1.60m Mr Blue mare Whoopie C, he is now establishing himself as a sire, with offspring already performing at 1.60m, including Otello de Guldenboom and Trixie Z.

Another Top 10 Placement for Applebridge Tag Z in the CSI5* Grand Prix of Hamburg 🇩🇪

A strong result for Applebridge Tag Z (Aganix du Seigneur Z) and Christian Ahlmann, who secured 8th place in the CSI5* Grand Prix of Hamburg.

After their 6th place in Shanghai two weeks ago, the talented youngster once again delivers, in only his second 5* Grand Prix ever!

With the CSI5* of Hamburg 🇩🇪 taking place this week, we look back on some unforgettable moments: the Grand Prix victories of Dourkhan Hero Z (2025), Dominator Z (2022) and Codex One Z (2013), who later also celebrated his retirement in Klein Flottbeck.

This year, Christian returns to Hamburg with Toèmme de Regor Z, Applebridge Tag Z and Vivario JL Z!
