A first look back at one of our 2026 references

Power of Baron J, together with Davide Vitale, is the first of our 2026 references to appear back on our radar in the sport since this yearโ€™s Young Champions Auction. ๐Ÿ‘

Always a pleasure to follow the journey of our references beyond the auction.

Did you miss us? ๐Ÿ‘€

One week ago, we celebrated the 5th edition of the Young Champions Auction โ€” and once again, it became one of those last summer evenings we wonโ€™t soon forget.

A wonderful atmosphere, strong sales and, most importantly, another evening surrounded by so many familiar and new faces.

While Belgium has given us plenty of rain since then, we thought weโ€™d brighten up your week with 20 of our favourite moments from auction night. ๐Ÿ“ธ

A huge thank you to all our loyal clients who continue to support Young Champions year after year, to every buyer and seller who placed their trust in us, and to our partners who help make this event possible.

Five editions down โ€” and already looking forward to the next one. ๐Ÿฅ‚

Thank you for being part of Young Champions Auction. ๐Ÿ’—

Daenarys combines Bamako de Muze with the proven influence of Diamant de Semilly, backed by a maternal family that has repeatedly delivered in the international ring.

Her dam Diamanta van Spalbeek Z is a sister to Cesar van Spalbeek Z (1.50m) with Cayetano Martรญnez de Irujo.

One generation further, the family produced Clooney van Spalbeek Z (1.60m) with Mark McAuley, Echo van Spalbeek (1.60m) with Harm Lahde and Violette van Spalbeek Z (1.45m) with Zoรซ Osterhoff.

Four international performers. One close maternal family. And now, the next generation.

Unique Charm EH Z brings together an exciting young sire in Unicum van de Donkhoeve, expected to make his international debut under Jos Verlooy, with one of the most celebrated mare families in showjumping.

Her dam Eldora EH Z is a direct daughter of Walnut de Muze (1.60m), the legendary Grand Prix mare of Harrie Smolders and dam of international performers including Iโ€™m Special de Muze, Fรฉtard de la Pomme and Everest de Muze.

Walnut herself is also a full sister to Merveille de Muze, Walloon de Muze and Werly Chin de Muze โ€” all proven at 1.60m level.

Dia Dโ€™Ora is a direct half-sister to Lady Star van Dorperheide (1.60m) with Shane Breen โ€” and the performance behind this filly certainly doesnโ€™t stop there.

Her granddam Wonderfull-M competed at 1.45m with Ludo Philippaerts, while the same family produced Up To Date-M (1.50m) with Ludo Philippaerts and Brazil-M (1.60m) with Kevin Staut.

Combined with Mosito van het Hellehof, whose offspring are increasingly making their mark in international sport, Dia Dโ€™Ora brings together an exciting sire and a damline that has already delivered.
