To our Chonk family,
We want to address the past few days calmly and transparently.
When we first heard about the loss of a cat being linked to our cat food, we reached out to the pet parent immediately. We are genuinely saddened by their loss. Our objective was to review the veterinary records and batch details so we could investigate properly.
Given the nature of the situation, we understood that a grieving pet parent might not be in a position to respond immediately, so we chose not to rush a public response. Our doors remain completely open the moment these details are shared with us.
As cat parents ourselves, this is something we take very seriously. The safety and well-being of cats is at the core of everything we do.
We also want to share that based on our regular interactions with customers, we have not observed any spike in health-related concerns in recent times. The feedback we receive on a daily basis has remained largely consistent.
At the same time, we want to acknowledge that every cat is different, and in pet nutrition, no single formulation suits 100% of cats. Some may experience temporary digestive adjustments or may not adapt well to a particular food.
Chonk is manufactured under strict regulatory oversight, with approvals from the Department of Livestock Services (DLS), and follows internationally accepted nutrition and safety standards.
Our products are also regularly tested in government-approved labs, and we have always maintained transparency by sharing these reports publicly.
