International Mother Language Day.

With the declaration of the United Nation in 2000, the 21 February is being observed as the International Mother Language Day worldwide. The language martyrs of East Pakistan including Salam, Rafiq, Jabbar are commemorated on this great day who were killed during the 1952 Bengali Language Movement. Fighting for nearly two decades, they established Bangla as their state language. On this day, people visit Shaheed Minar, the Martyr Monument of Bangladesh that is the symbol of cultural and linguistic diversity. The Monument also promotes multilingualism and shows a humble tribute to all the heroic language martyrs.

"International Thank-You Day 2021"

This day is an annual celebration observed on January 11th of every year. Often we forget to tell a thank you as is taken for granted. It is essential to show the gratitude from the bottom of the heart to those who made your life better and happier.

"World Braille Day 2021"

It is celebrated every year on 4th January around the world to commemorate the birthday of Louis Braille. Louis Braille is credited with inventing the Braille language which helps blind people to read as well as write.

Louis Braille was born in France. At the age of 3, he accidentally became blind. However, he had a great yearning to be able to read and write properly, despite his disability. he developed a set of symbols by making raised dots on a piece of paper. The dots could be easily felt by hand, thus enabling even the blind to feel them and hence, read and write.

Braille is a code that uses bumps and indentation on a surface to represent letters, which can be recognized by touch. Louis Braille, a French man who was blinded in an accident at a very young age, invented it.
Before Braille invented this form of communication, visually impaired people read and wrote using the Haüy system which embossed Latin letters on thick paper or leather.
This was a complicated system that required much training and only allowed people to read, not write. Discouraged by this, Braille at the age of 15 invented the Braille code. While there are now several different versions of Braille, Louis Braille’s code was arranged in small rectangular blocks called cells with raised dots in a 3 x 2 pattern. Each cell represented a letter, number or punctuation. Since Braille is a code, all languages and even certain subjects like mathematics, music and computer programming can be read and written in brail.

গরমে বিড়ালের যত্ন (Care of Cat in Hot weather)

সাধারনত বিড়াল গরমে স্বস্তি অনুভব করে। কিন্তু
অতিরিক্ত গরমে বিড়ালের যত্নে কিছু পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া দরকার। অতিরিক্ত গরমে হিটস্ট্রোক, ডায়রিয়া, পানিশূন্যতা ইত্যাদি বেশি হয়ে থাকে। আর তাই এ সময় বিড়ালের বাড়তি যত্নের প্রয়োজন হয়। গরমে বিড়ালের যত্নে নিম্মোক্ত পদক্ষেপগুলো নেওয়া যেতে পারে।

☞ খাওয়ার পানিঃ
পর্যাপ্ত পরিমান পরিষ্কার এবং ঠাণ্ডা পানি বিড়ালের খাওয়ার জন্য দিতে হবে। দিনে কয়েকবার পানি পরিবর্তন করে দিতে পারেন এবং বাসার ও বাগানের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় পানির পাত্র রাখতে পারেন যাতে বিড়াল ইচ্ছেমত পানি পান করতে পারে। প্রয়োজনুসারে, পানিতে বিভিন্ন স্ট্রেস রিলিফার, ভিটামিন মিক্সার, ইলেকট্রলাইট ইত্যাদি ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে।

☞ বরফ :
বিড়ালের খাবারের পানিতে বরফের টুকরো মিশিয়ে দিতে পারেন। এতে পানি বেশিক্ষণ ঠাণ্ডা থাকবে।

☞ ঘুমানোর জায়গাঃ
একটা তোয়ালে ফ্রিজে রাখুন, ঠাণ্ডা হলে বিড়ালের বিছানায় বিছিয়ে দিন। ঘর ঠাণ্ডা রাখার জন্য এয়ারকন্ডিশন, কুলার, ফ্যান ইত্যাদি চালান এবং বিড়ালকে সে ঘরে রাখুন। যদি উঁচু বিল্ডিং এ বসবাস করেন তাহলে জানালা খুলে বাতাস চলাচলের ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে। তবে অবশ্যই জানালায় নেট লাগিয়ে নিতে হবে।

☞ গ্রুমিং :
নিয়মিত বিড়ালের লোমগুলো আঁচড়িয়ে দিতে পারেন। যদি বিড়ালের অতিরিক্ত লোম থাকে তাহলে গ্রুমিং করে নিতে হবে। কোনোভাবেই Tick & Mite হতে দেওয়া যাবে না।

☞খেলাধুলাঃ
গরমে বিড়ালকে খেলাধুলা কম করাতে হবে। উত্তেজিত হয়ে যায় এমন কোন খেলাধূলা করানো যাবে না।

☞ বিশ্রামঃ
বেশিরভাগ সময় বিড়ালকে বিশ্রামে রাখুন।

☞ সূর্যের তাপঃ
বিড়ালকে সূর্যের তাপ থেকে দূরে রাখতে হবে। তাই বেশিরভাগ সময় বিড়ালকে ঘরে বা ঠান্ডা জায়গায় রাখতে হবে।

☞ বয়স্ক এবং স্থূলকায় বিড়ালঃ
বয়স্ক এবং স্থূলকায় বিড়ালের হিটস্ট্রোকের ঝুঁকি বেশি থাকে। সুতরাং এদের প্রতি বিশেষ যত্ন নেওয়া প্রয়োজন।

☞ গরমে হটাৎ অসুস্থ হয়ে গেলেঃ
একটি তোয়ালে ঠাণ্ডা পানিতে ভিজিয়ে বিড়ালের শরীর ও মাথা মুছে দিতে হবে। যদিও বিড়াল এটা পছন্দ করে না। তবে এটি বিড়ালকে দ্রুত ঠাণ্ডা করতে পারবে।
সর্বোপরি, বিড়ালের যে কোন সমস্যায় দ্রুত Vet এর সাথে যোগাযোগ করুন।
