I’m Georgie, I breed silkies in partridge. I also have Pekin bantams in black and black cuckoo. And my newest obsession….faverolles in salmon and blue/black.

My kids have white & black silkies, bantam faverolles, splash/blue pekin & bantam barnevelders.

Today I picked up a new bantam salmon faverolles rooster from Fiona Warwick at Rails Poultry. Newly christianed Sir Honeyfluff, he is replacing Fabbo, because Fabbo has been a very naughty boy. And Sweetie the Victorian boy STILL doesn't like girls. (Except for cuddling)

Evan was the champion in the family for the York Agricultural Show this year. With me being sick, I didn’t even finish washing birds, and entered a couple hoping they’d be clean enough lol. I’m also really happy the show was so close, I dropped off birds, went home, went back to feed and water after judging, went home, and we will head back just before presentations to bring birds home.

Evan won Champion Junior with his lovely splash pekin boy Francis. He also got a first with Francis’ sister Cupcake, a first with his modern game bantam and second with his OEG bantam, a first for both his male and female white Silkie (beating my partridge silkie pullet). Rosie’s silver double laced barnevelder Lacey came second in the open AO heavybred bantam class. We pulled his blue pekin girl as I forgot her lol.

As for me, I was pleased to see some more standard faverolles being shown. My boy Fabio won his class, and so did my hen Hot Chocolate which was great. My black Pekin pullet won her class, as did my cuckoo Pekin cockerel and hen in the AOC Pekin class. My buff Pekin girl had no love today, nor did my partridge silkie pullet. My black pekin pair looked beautiful and won their class, but didn’t achieve champion bantam pair, that went to Andrew Ryalls beautiful birds.

It was lovely to see an Ancona winning Bird of Show, a gorgeous bird belonging to Philip Smedley

Rosie has a few cute bantam SDL barnevelder babies growing up atm too. They aren't as friendly as the bantam faverolles.

Two bantam Faverolles hatched 8 weeks ago.(July 4th)
1. AURI, boy
2. FRECKLES, girl.

They are super cute and friendly and have recently discovered meal worms as a treat.

The kids and I went to Midland Egg Show and the Silkie Club of Western Australia plush and art show today.
I was very pleased to win Best AOC bantam eggs from Midland, and Evan won Best Junior Photography. I also got a reserve in Photography.

In the online show, Evan was pleased to win Champion Online Junior and I was pleased to get a 3rd for my partridge pullet from a strong Partridge mixed s*x line up.

Plus we won various arts and crafts prizes.

I'm excited today about the arrival of 5 blue standard Faverolles from Mikayla at Windmill Paddock in Boyup Brook. Thankyou to Jenni Luvo for bringing them up to Midland for me.
