Viewhill Farm - Australia Viewhill Farm, Australian Stock Horse Stud, riding lessons, horse starting / breaking and training. We can help! All our fencing is safe and horse friendly.

We are proud of our horses and enjoy breeding, training and showing all year round. Visitors are welcome at any time by appointment to watch us at work or for a tour of the farm. We breed Australian Stock Horses, "The Breed for Every Need", and we are happy to help all levels of riders from beginners starting out, more advanced riders having specific problems, competitive riders wishing to fine tune some issues and everything in between. Likewise, we welcome all breeds of horses and all problems from groundwork issues through to under saddle problems. Often the horse just needs some more effective communication in order to break a bad habit or behaviour, or the owner just needs a bit of guidance and self belief. We also offer weaner handling, yearling handling, breaking in and float loading training. We have self contained accomodation on site for those owners wishing to come and watch us work with their horse, from start to finish. Located in the Goulburn Valley, Victoria, we are 3 hours from Melbourne, 2 hours from Albury, 40 minutes from Echuca and 40 minutes from Shepparton. We are blessed to be surrounded by the Barmah State Forest, with hours of trail riding in the bush and along the mighty Murray River. We also have a sand arena, round yard, outside work area and both individual and group paddocks.

I’ve been using these lip / chin straps from Shan's Tailbags for a little while now, and I still love them as much as I did when I first chopped off the old faithful bailing twine and replaced the neon blue monstrosity with these elegant, leather straps.

Funny thing, no one has commented or asked me what the straps are for since I ditched the bailing twine - it’s almost like *gasp* they now seem professional and in keeping enough to make sense, and not attract the eye / attention in a negative way.

We’ve had them on ponies and 2 year olds through to 18hh heavy breeds and they are a great fit for all. Highly recommend on all fronts, including price as they are very affordable and definitely a huge upgrade on the old faithful blue twine 🥰

Royalle Imprint off to a flying start with the breeding season with the first mares covered returning PPT off single cycle.

Can’t wait for our foals by him due end of October, and the ones we will have due nice and early in 2027.

I can’t stress how easy he is to have around and deal with - and a total gentleman in the breeding barn.

Long awaited second foal of Violet, bit excited about this one. Nice leggy, friendly c**t. Brown or grey, time will tell, either way, very happy with him.

A little break now before the next three are due in foal to Royalle Imprint end of October.

Full house on the tie ups, amazing to have this dry area after a casual 64mls of rain. Arena freshly graded and drained beautifully. Rides out today to make the most of the puddles for some water exposure / training and utilise our local sandy tracks while things dry up.
