Oral Care 🦷🪥

Dental disease is one of the most common problems we see. Periodontal disease is a term used to describe infection (and associated inflammation) of the periodontium (the tissue surrounding the teeth). This can be painful, and lead to other health problems if let untreated.

Our Vet Nurses offer free dental checks by appointment.

Some great options are available to assist with keeping your pet’s teeth clean, like toothbrushes & toothpaste, dental chews, and kibble.

🚫 Myth Bust Monday!

Myth: A dog’s mouth is cleaner than a human’s.

✅ Fact: Dogs carry different types of bacteria in their mouths—it’s not “cleaner,” just different. Dogs use their mouths to explore the world, pick up toys, lick surfaces, and groom themselves, so plenty of germs can still be present.

Good dental care is important for every pet! Regular teeth checks, brushing, and professional dental cleans can help keep your dog’s mouth healthy and fresh. 🦷🐾
