NEW TIME TUESDAYS 4PM!!!

Tuesday Afternoon Social Walks for Dogs and Owners

When: Tuesdays 4pm
Where: Yamba Marina Carpark
Cost: Free

We will meet at the Carpark at the Yamba Marina and head off from there.

You don’t have to attend weekly or schedule in.

Please ensure that whatever you are walking your dog on is secure and that they can’t slip their collar/harness.

Important to Understand:
Some of the dogs attending will be there to build their confidence and trust being around other dogs and people. For them it’s not about being able to meet or play with other dogs, it’s just about learning how to be around other dogs and feel comfortable. Some dogs don’t want other dogs getting into their space and that’s fair. Some will react or snap if a strange dog invades their space.
So it’s very important that you keep your dog under control at all times, that you are mindful of your dog getting into the space of other dogs and that you ask other dog owners if their dog would like to meet or engage with your dog before allowing them to approach.

And lastly, everyone is welcome to join us however if you have a serious dog and you are unable to control that dog or don’t know how to respond if they do react, then it’s best that you contact me for some 1 on 1 lessons first. Just getting your reactive dog around a heap of dogs is not going to help and will likely make the reactivity worse.

Looking forward to seeing you all and your dogs on Tuesday afternoons.

Cheers,
Shayde
