🐴 Horse & Property Assistant – Wyandah Agistment & Equestrian Centre

We’re looking for a reliable, experienced and friendly person to join our small team at Wyandah Agistment & Equestrian Centre on the Central Coast.

Wyandah is a boutique agistment and equestrian property offering full-care agistment and arena hire, with a lovely group of horses, agistees and a friendly, relaxed team environment.

About the role

This is an ongoing position offering approximately 10–15 hours per week, generally across 2 regular days, with the possibility of a third day for the right person. The roster will include two weekends per month.

The role includes all aspects of day-to-day horse care, including:

* Feeding, rugging and paddock checks
* Mucking out and maintaining stables and yards
* General care and handling of horses
* Keeping horse areas clean, tidy and well maintained

There may also be occasional opportunities to assist with general property jobs such as painting fences, w**d spraying, picking up sticks and other day-to-day property maintenance.

We’re looking for someone who is confident handling large horses, dependable and happy to work independently as well as part of a small team.

Previous horse-handling experience is essential. Property or farm experience would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

Award wages paid, with the possibility of agisting your own horse at Wyandah for the right person.

🐴 Casual Stable Hand Wanted 🐴

Looking for a great weekend job? We’re looking for an experienced Casual Stable Hand to join the team at Wyandah Agistment & Equestrian Centre.

What we’re looking for:
✅ Confident handling large horses
✅ Reliable and punctual
✅ Physically fit and enjoys working outdoors
✅ Able to work independently and use initiative
✅ Available for Sunday mornings, plus occasional shifts to cover staff leave and sickness

Duties include:
✔ Feeding and handling horses
✔ Bringing horses in and out
✔ Mucking out (up to two stables when required)
✔ Poo picking paddocks and w**d picking
✔ General property maintenance and odd jobs

What we offer:
• A friendly and supportive team
• A varied role with extra casual shifts available for the right person

Wyandah has recently transitioned to a boutique agistment model, with only six agistees plus our own horses on the property. This allows us to provide a quieter, more personalised environment and ensures excellent access to facilities for all agistees.

Today we said goodbye to a very special part of the Wyandah family 🤍

Over the past two years, Vicki has been such a huge part of our community — not only managing Wyandah and running Lillelund Riding Academy here, but also creating so many friendships, memories and opportunities along the way.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed to Wyandah, our riders and our horses, and while we’re very sad to see this chapter close, we’re also so excited for her as she begins this next adventure at Kumandra.

Please join us in wishing Vicki, Sonny and all her ponies all the very best in their beautiful new home. We know they will thrive there 🥰

Thankfully this isn’t a full goodbye, and we look forward to still seeing Vicki around the arena and at lessons in the future.
