🐾💗 A final goodbye to Paws & Claws by Sheena 💗🐾

I never thought I would be writing this, but after a lot of thought, I have made the decision to permanently close Paws & Claws by Sheena.

This little business became something really special to me. What started as an idea turned into something I was genuinely proud of, and I am so grateful for every person who trusted me with their pets.

I got to meet so many beautiful animals and learn all their little personalities, routines and quirks. I got to look after nervous pets, keep anxious pets company, give cuddles, play with them, and sometimes just sit beside them while they did their own thing.

To everyone who booked with me, recommended me, shared my posts, followed my page, supported my business or even just cheered me on from the sidelines, thank you. Every bit of support meant so much to me and helped make Paws & Claws what it became.

Unfortunately, I have reached a point where continuing the business is no longer something I can do, and although it is incredibly difficult to let go of something I put so much love into, I know this is the right decision for me.

It is really bittersweet saying goodbye.

I will miss meeting all the gorgeous pets, getting excited over everyone's photos and updates, and being part of their little lives. 🐶🐱💕

But more than anything, I will always be grateful that I got the chance to do this.

Thank you for trusting me with your fur babies. Thank you for every booking, every message, every recommendation and every kind word.

And thank you for letting Paws & Claws by Sheena be a little part of your lives.

This chapter is coming to an end, but I will always look back on it with so much love. 🥹🐾💗

To my wonderful clients and supporters,

Paws & Claws by Sheena will be taking a break for the time being.

Over the past little while, I have realised I need to prioritise my own mental health and wellbeing. As much as I love caring for your pets, I cannot give them the level of care they deserve if I am not looking after myself first.

If there is one thing I would like to share, it is this. It is okay to not be okay. Life can become overwhelming, and taking a step back to heal is an act of strength. Please remember to be kind to yourselves and check in on the people you care about.

Thank you all for your support, trust, and understanding. It has meant more to me than you will ever know. I hope to see you all again when the time is right.

Please look after yourselves, and remember that your wellbeing matters too. ❤️

I'm moving to Latrobe and will now be offering in home pet sitting throughout Latrobe and surrounding areas! 🏡💚

To help make things clearer, I’ve put together some answers to the most common things people ask when considering in-home pet sitting.

My approach is always centred around keeping your pets feeling safe, relaxed, and comfortable in their familiar environment. Every companion is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and little quirks so their care feels as natural and stress-free as possible.

While staying in your home, I generally keep to myself and follow my own quiet routine, while still giving your pets plenty of attention, affection, play, and care. The goal is simply to provide calm company and consistency so they feel secure while you're away.

A little snippet into one of my favourite parts of pet sitting; arriving at a home and being greeted by the cutest little patooties 🐾

Each companion is so different! Some are excited straight away, some take a little time, and some just want to supervise everything I do. I always allow pets to come to me at their own pace, so they can feel safe and comfortable in their own space.

This snippet is after a few regular visits, so these babies are feeling happy and confident. Trust isn’t always instant, and I completely understand that building comfort takes time 🐕

Being welcomed into a home and seeing pets relax, engage, and show their unique personalities is honestly one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Pablo & Giggi definitely made their thoughts known during this visit… I think I passed the inspection ☺️

Caring for your companions in their own home is something I’m so passionate about. I take the time to understand their routines, their quirks, and what makes them feel safe; especially for those who may be a little more anxious. I also treat your home with the same level of care and respect.

For those who have been curious, my rates are generally between $50–$70 per day, depending on your pet’s needs and the number of pets.
