Sadly due to unexpected lack of interest and bookings the Dog Education Centre- Daycare and Wildlife Wranglers Victoria will NOT be running Canine Snake Bite Prevention Training, here at Pampered Pets Wycheproof from the 17-19 of October 2026.

After seeing my first snake here this week, I am so disappointed for those who wanted to participate. I hope that we may get some interest between now and Christmas and we are lucky enough to be placed at the end of this summers training run early next year.

If you have ANY INTEREST AT ALL, please call the Dog Education Centre on the number below and register that interest. I am not running this training I am just hosting it for this area.

⚠️ PLEASE TELL US ABOUT RASHES AND SKIN CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE ⚠️

Today a dog arrived for grooming with a rash that the owner was already aware of. They believed it was simply hot spots — unfortunately, we are concerned it may be contagious and have recommended a vet visit.

Until we know otherwise, we have to treat the premises as though it could be something highly contagious such as ringworm.

And that has a MUCH bigger impact than people may realise.

🐾 Grooming has to stop while affected areas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
🐾 Louisa and Mikaela lose income and today’s clients have to be rescheduled.
🐾 Boarding dogs need to be kept away from affected areas instead of enjoying their normal play and activities.
🐾 Our time is spent disinfecting surfaces, equipment and the environment instead of caring for and playing with the dogs.
🐾 Some contagious skin conditions can also infect people.

We completely understand that most owners aren’t vets and may not know what a rash is — we don’t expect you to diagnose it.

We just need you to TELL US BEFORE YOU ARRIVE. ❤️

A quick phone call, photo or even mentioning the rash when you arrive gives us the opportunity to decide how best to manage it without potentially exposing an entire grooming salon and boarding kennel.

If your dog has redness, sores, scabs, hair loss, weeping skin, unusual itching or ANY unexplained rash — please let us know before bringing them in.

It might be nothing.
But please let us know so we can make that call. 🐾

When the sun is out and the weather is nice, it’s even more fun to play with your friends, sniff some interesting sniffs and learn some new games. I love this job. 😍🐾

The pure joy of the little dogs today. Mr Digger absolutely loving instigating a zoomie chase. Look at his happy little face. 10 points if you see Ted get super excited and shoot off the trampolines a bit too fast 🤣.
