๐จ Know the Signs of Tick Paralysis
Signs can take three days or more to develop after a paralysis tick attaches. Your pet may show one or more of the following: Wobbly or uncoordinated hind legs, which may progress to paralysis A change in their voice or bark/meow Vomiting Retching or coughing Loss of appetite Lethargy or weakness Rapid or laboured breathing.
If you notice any of these symptoms, seek immediate veterinary attention.
โ ๏ธ Even if you find and remove the tick, your pet may still be at risk. Removing or killing the tick does not mean they are immediately out of danger, as tick toxin may already have entered their system.
Prevention + daily tick checks can save your petโs life. โค๏ธ
