Cats may not pack a suitcase, but they certainly bring their personalities on holiday. 😺

It usually doesn’t take long before they make their preferences very clear: where they like to relax, how much exploring needs to be done and whether everything is meeting their very high standards.

Getting to know these funny little habits is one of the loveliest parts of having them stay with me.

So, be honest… what kind of holiday guest would your cat be? 🐾

If you’re planning a few days away, a longer holiday or time with family over the coming months, I currently have availability at Puss Inn Bass. 🐾

I deliberately keep guest numbers manageable so I have time to get to know each cat, understand their personality and routine, and give them the individual attention they need.

I also love sending photos and little video updates, so you can see how your cat is getting on while you’re away.

When Winnie came to stay, it was so lovely watching her settle in, grow more comfortable and begin exploring the communal area with the other cats. 😺

I know it can be difficult leaving your cat while you’re away. That’s why I love sending photos and little videos, so you can see how they’re getting on and enjoy your time away with a little more peace of mind.

It seems every guest arrives with their own idea of five-star comfort.

A sunny spot, a cosy basket, the softest bed… or an entire shelf to stretch across as though it was personally reserved for them.

I can provide plenty of choices, but naturally, the final decision belongs to the cats. Looking at this comfortable little collection, I think they approve. 😂❤️

And when someone decides that I’m the best seat in the house, well… that’s perfectly fine with me too. 🐾

One of the loveliest parts of caring for cats is watching them decide, in their own time, that this new place might be okay after all. ❤️

No two cats settle in quite the same way, and I would never expect them to. I simply meet them where they are, offer a little comfort and reassurance, and give them the time and space they need.

Seeing Mavis’s curiosity beginning to shine through was such a lovely little moment. I’m very proud of this sweet girl. 😺🐾
