Thank you for choosing us to care for your dog. Your continued support means a great deal to us and to our small grooming business.

We genuinely value the opportunity to care for your dog and are committed to providing reliable, high-quality grooming. We have absorbed rising travel and fuel costs for as long as possible; however, as fuel prices continue to increase, we need to introduce a small fuel levy so we can maintain the same dependable and caring service at every appointment.

From Monday 12th October, a $5 fuel levy will be added to each grooming appointment. We understand that any additional cost matters, and this decision has not been made lightly. We will continue to monitor fuel prices closely and review the levy if costs decrease.

We would also like to reassure you that, despite the recent changes to credit card surcharge fees, we have NEVER passed these charges on to our customers. We have always absorbed them and will continue to do so, allowing us to keep offering credit card payments as a convenient option.

Thank you for your understanding and for trusting us to care for your much-loved dogs. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch—we are always happy to help.

Well the past month has been EXTREMELY busy. I have taken on a few new clients going on to schedules. Days have been very long and every dog has been dumping coat to the max making me earn my $ . Spring/Summer is here with a bang and every owner who hasn't had their dogs groomed over winter is now making my phone ring off the hook. All of a sudden their dog is Urgent.. nope sorry Im fully booked. I really am now at the maximum number of clients I can service. This is a one woman show here!!

In all my driving I have picked up a few stray dogs, a kookaburra hit by a car, checked many roos and wallabies for joey's and unfortunately ended a wallaby myself. I sat with him for 45mins waiting for wildlife rescue to come end his suffering in the middle of the night. Unfortunately he went himself when his injuries and shock took him before help could come. Merciful but I still cried over him in the fog.

Minding this past 2 months has been next Level!! Today is my 3rd day I dont need to go to homes in 9wks straight and that includes weekends. Leanne badly injured her back 2 Fridays ago at an Agility night trial. I had been showing that day with my friends and Dottie so I had my car and the competition trailer with me. Leanne came late after doing minding stops after work with the rest of our dogs. She left in an ambulance to spend the night and next day in hospital. I then had to figure out how to get 7 dogs, two cars and a trailer home to woodford extremely tired late at night.

Thankfully adrenalin kicked in and I made it home. Huge thankyou to multiple friends for eventually getting leannes car back to our place by sunday arvo safe and sound. You know who you are and absolutely more than clients. Most of the driving and help with Leanne on the ground in pain came from friends who live in Hervey bay, thank you.

Alot of weekends in the last 6 months i have been too booked looking after other peoples animals so mine have been missing out. I am still absorbing the incredible fuel prices which had more than doubled my fuel bill the past 2 months. I am still miles cheaper than every other groomer around and my work.. well it speaks for itself. I always go well above and beyond. It is rapidly becoming untenable I am sad to say.

Leanne had that next week off work unable to drive which meant I had to fit upto 8 minding stops into each day around grooming work. That was fun.... not. Stupid me also Quit Iced coffee that week. Dumb move that. Lots of interesting jobs, loads of different animals. Lowline cattle with a tiny calf, goats, pigs, camels, horses, horses and more horses at multiple houses, donkeys, a cockatoo, dogs, budgies, cows... the list goes on.
Some how in the middle of all that on days at home I groomed still more..

We have our vege gardens going well and I built an arbour for cucumbers growing in pots... because we ran out of space in the beds. My dogs love cucumbers and they get them as a healthy snack when we leave for work or need to go out. They cant wait for them to start producing. Lyric has been raiding the Strawberries each day when we go to water already.

I have removed spurs from roosters, sourced guinea fowl, done a training session on starting dogs in Scentwork, wildlife rescue, clipped a horse and washed a very special old cat in the last month. Anyway this weekend coming we are going away for our 3rd and last away competition, our favourite in Hervey Bay.

I have had exactly Zero time to actually train my dogs.. so we will have to go in cold again!! I dont have the time in the day nor the energy atm. Im a walking zombie. Back to work grooming on Tuesday and back on the pet minding train tomorrow. Dunno when I will get a chance to post another update. Stay tuned...Xmas is rapidly approaching.

My Dot!! Another best neuter in show line up yesterday. Loves her frilly show ribbons and making us wait till the last class at the end of the show. 4 best neuter in show awards this year alone, I have lost count of how many group wins. Wouldn't know this girl is nearly 10! Just need to finish that agility championship Dot!

Not taking new clients or unscheduled grooming (dogs not on a permanent schedule) for the next month or so.

Unfortunately last Wednesday I was badly bitten on my left hand by a new dog. I went to ER and they cleaned the wounds very well but told me to go to Redcliffe for surgery. Some of you have been with me a while and went through the cat bite that put me in hospital about 6yrs ago. Not doing that again. I went to my doctor on Thursday who also said surgery immediately. I have a huge issue with hospitals and the ER was more than enough. Fast forward to this week and I struggled through my work on monday and Wednesday one handed. On Tuesday I did go to the PA where a friend works after she showed a hand surgeon the photos and videos of my hand. I saw the surgeon who is concerned there is nerve damage and recommended surgery but there is a 3 day wait. There doesnt look to be infection in the worst wound at this point but given the position and the 2.5cm depth to the bone it is going to take a long time to heal. I have to go back to surgeon next thursday for reassessment. Unfortunately im not out of the woods in regards to surgery or infection yet. I am late on sending confirmation texts this week as I was worried I wouldn't be able to work.
I have been working one handed and covering my injuries with gloves as best I can. I sucked up the pain this week and managed to hold legs to trim feet and nails but am paying for that today. I will get everyone done but I am slower and alot more tired and have been running a little behind times.

Comments on the dog or owners will not be tolerated. Neither is at fault. I believe this injury was a result of the dog's previous life before being rescued by current owner. Bites happen, I get at least one minor one a month. Its one of the delightful perks of my job, along with p**s, p**p and a**l glands..

I'll be back taking new and unscheduled clients as soon as possible. Thanks everyone
