Dear clients,

These past few years have been an incredible adventure and it’s bitter sweet to say that it is winding down.

I’ve decided to take on work that is easier on both my body and my car in a full-time role in community aged care so feel free to contact me if you need information on this type of care.

I still currently do the occasional trims on weekends for regular clients but am not taking on new clients at this time. As of Nov 5, I will be finished trimming.

Thank you for trusting me with your best friends’ hoof care and I wish you all the very best.

As life is getting busier and busier, I’ve had to make the very hard decision to end my runs to Gympie, having passed them onto another farrier there.

I am still available for trims in and around Wondai, up to 45km away so my furthest runs are now Woolooga and Nanango.

I want to take this time to thank my long standing clients from the Gympie region, your friendship and horses are why I kept the run going as long as I could.

Here’s one of the many I will miss, the ever cheeky and sweetest boy, Magnus ❤️🐴

Absolutely fascinating.

It’s easy to think of seedy toe/WLD as not such a serious condition since it’s so common, especially in SE QLD. However, you can see here, seedy toe impacting the pedal bone on this poor horse.

Seedy toe is caused by fungal and bacterial infection, usually entering through a stretched white line and often seen more during wet and muddy seasons.

However, with regular proper trimming and treatment, seedy toe is perfectly treatable and something we rehab frequently.

Just a hole……

I will be in Brisbane from this Friday 8th-Saturday 14th Dec.

I have a few spaces left locally if anyone needs to book in before then. Can possibly do a run up the Hervey Bay if there are enough trims.
