We spent some time visiting our friends there today and not only do they do dog and cat boarding but they also do board and trains and train detection dogs for agencies. 🐕

The kennel was so quiet that we could stand around and have a conversation easily, which is exactly how you want your boarding kennel to be for your dogs ❤️

Sometimes good things come from horrible situations.

Recently in our area, there was a young man that went missing. One of our staff members was volunteering with the crew to help find him.

I couldn’t stop thinking about him and his family and what they must have been going through. I was obsessively checking the internet for updates.

Thankfully there was a good outcome.

But it got me thinking, what if we had a local dog that could help? What if we could be there within a matter of half an hour?

We happen have have a scent specialist working within our team and collectively have decided to train up a dog for situations like this. This is a way for us to give back to our community that we live in and supports us.

Unfortunately it’s not a quick process but it’s already been started.

Watch this space and we will announce when she’s ready to go 🫶

Facebook is an odd place.

“Adopt don’t shop” 😕

“You hate dogs if you don’t rescue” 🤯

“People shouldn’t be breeding dogs when there are so many dogs in the pound” 🤔

“Don’t buy puppies for Christmas” 🎄

I’m about to blow your knickers off. 🩲

Guess who was just involved with breeding a dog and the puppies are due for pick up at Christmas….. me. I’m literally getting a Christmas puppy 🐶

This was done in conjunction with a very respected breeder before you start with the “backyard breeder” comments.

Guess who’s also “rescued dogs” me

Guess who hates the slogan adopt don’t shop, also me.

The world isn’t binary. Nuance is key. There are always many personal choices and situations behind the scene that you will never be aware of.

Rescue dogs aren’t for everyone.

Pedigree dogs aren’t for everyone

People should be free to purchase dogs from responsible breeders or buy a dog from a rescue.

People should NOT be breeding dogs W***y Nilly.

The point is, people should be free to make their own choices and choose what suits them, their lifestyle and their family the best.

Judging people, shaming people and attacking people online doesn’t change their mind, it will just make them quieter about their choices. It does the opposite of helping dogs.

Anyway, I’m super excited about this litter!

At this point I think I’ll be choosing a boy.

Once a month we run a clinic with Animal Hospital for dogs that don’t particularly enjoy the veterinary clinic space.

This is a vet clinic run by a vet and assisted by dog trainers to get the best outcome for your dog.

Bron is a huge boy at 50kgs and he’s one of our regulars.

He’ll do anything for a snag and a play.

We love this big fella 🥰

She’s almost ready!

Pet Taxi services will start November 2nd.

Spaces in the van are VERY limited for safety reasons.

Introductory rate for daycare clients is $100 for pick up, daycare and drop off for November and December.

* Please note the pick up and drop off areas are strict at the moment until I get an idea of how to make this work efficiently.

Yeehaaa! 🤠

The van has arrived. The signage has been designed and is being installed later this month.

We are waiting on the crash tested cages to arrive which looks like they’ll be a couple of weeks away yet.

I’m expecting the taxi service to be up and running by mid October.

Apologies for the delay but I refuse to cart other peoples dogs in ordinary crates. Safety is our number one priority.

Only the best for our daycare fam 🫶
