Meet Frankie! 🐾

This tiny little Italian Greyhound came in for his vaccination and was quite possibly the cutest little patient we’ve had in our hands! 🥹

Frankie was so teeny, he practically fit in the palm of our hands. 🥰

Safe to say, we were all a little bit obsessed! 💚

Congratulations to Natasha! Tash received the award for ‘2026 Nurse Mentor of the Year’. We are incredibly proud of her for this well deserved achievement. She is an integral part of Greencross Caloundra and the team would be lost without her!

Bird flu is making headlines, so Better Homes & Gardens asked Greencross Vets what it means for our pets.

Greencross Vets veterinarian Dr Nina shares practical advice to help pet parents understand the risks and take simple precautions.

“Bird flu can infect all mammals, so dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets can all be infected.”

From avoiding contact with sick or dead wildlife to keeping cats indoors and dogs on a leash around wildlife, a few simple steps can help reduce exposure.

Read Dr Nina’s advice and the full Better Homes & Gardens article at:

Ziggy came in for his castrate last week! 🐶💙 He was just too cute to resist, so naturally, he spent most of the day getting cuddles from the team! 🥰

🖤 A majestic visitor who never should have needed a trip to the vet.

This beautiful black swan was found with a fishing hook stuck in its mouth - a painful and completely preventable injury caused by discarded fishing gear.

Removing the hook required a general anaesthetic, along with pain relief to keep this feathered patient comfortable while we treated them. 🦢

A reminder to all anglers: please take your fishing line, hooks and tackle home with you or use a designated disposal bin. The Victorian Fisheries Authority advises that old fishing line should be placed in bins, or if there are no bins available, taken home, cut up and disposed of in general waste. Their Seal the Loop program also provides dedicated bins for unwanted fishing line, hooks, netting and rope. (VFA)

Discarded fishing gear can cause entanglement, injury and even death to wildlife. A few extra seconds to dispose of your gear properly can make a huge difference. 💔

🎣 Fish responsibly. Dispose responsibly. Protect our wildlife. A big thanks for the wildlife careers for bringing this amazing swan in and thanks to our team for helping 🫶🏼

Pepsi is in her 🌟 Brave Girl Era 🌟

She was so brave after her desexing procedure recently that she received a hand drawn Bravery Certificate! Here she is pictured with Nurse Caitie having some post surgery cuddles 🥰

🐾✨ Stella’s surgery success! ✨🐾

Sweet 11-year-old Stella recently underwent an emergency cystotomy with us to remove bladder stones. 🩺💗

After her procedure and a little time to recover, Stella is now doing amazingly well so far and almost back to being her happy self! 🥰🐶

We’re so pleased to see this beautiful girl feeling comfortable and healthy again. 💕

Double trouble…

Just kidding! These sisters were absolutely beautiful patients for their dental x-rays, scale and polish.

Both of them went home with lovely pearly whites and lots of dental goodies to keep up with dental hygiene.

Unsure where to start with your dental care? No problem, that’s what we are here for.

The beautiful 12 week old Weimaraner Mac had his first vet visit at Wishart Road Greencross. He is already weighing in at 12.4kg and was definitely an armful.

It’s safe to say hearts were stolen. We look forward to his next vaccine visit in 4 weeks time.

Welcome Dr Rebecca to .wishartroad. ❤️

Dr Rebecca graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014 with honours. She has a strong passion for preventative and lifelong quality care of all pets, including fear free handling and palliative care. She is the kind of vet who will spoil your pet, but also likely know the names of your children and maybe even your mum as she is probably bringing her pets to see her too!

Dr Rebecca has greatly enjoyed working in the local area for many years and it is where she wants to stay as she understands how important consistency of care can be for you and your pets. Her time is otherwise spent with her own family and she is kept busy with her two young children and cat Sophie.

Thank you to our amazing and dedicated veterinarians who despite the initial shock of the pandemic have quickly adapted to incorporate the added challenges of social distancing requirements, remote-consultations and increased use of personal protective equipment. 💚
