Jake is stepping into an exciting new chapter, heading off to work on a cattle station and continuing to build his skills in a hands-on, real-world environment.

While he won’t be taking on horses locally, he will be gaining valuable experience in station life — working with cattle and continuing to break in horses as part of his day-to-day work.

Jake brings a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, and this next step will see him putting in the miles and gaining the kind of experience that can only come from being out there doing it.

We’re proud to see him take this opportunity and look forward to watching his journey unfold.

Darcy has been riding for over 6 years and is now starting to take on a small number of his own horses to further educate.

He offers support with young and green horses, as well as those needing more time, consistency, and confidence in their work. His focus is on building soft, willing horses through a calm and patient approach, helping them better understand their job under saddle.

Darcy also assists across lessons and training, bringing a practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to put in the time where it’s needed.

Still developing his skills, he’s committed to learning, growing, and doing things the right way.

Well, that's a wrap for today, not the day Darcy was hoping for. His working cow was good, the dry pattern was nice, just a bobble at the end. Then the stockman's cut out was great. Then the last event, cattleman's crack, x-country combines whip crack targets with a x-country course, he started out fantastic, jumping everything, she was going great until near the end when Kip and Darcy had a slip on the grass and both hit the deck (both of them are fine). It was heartbreaking, so no finals this year, but what a bloody superb effort on his own mare in her first big challenge. We are very proud of his efforts this weekend, looking forward to seeing what they can do with another year under their belt.

Just putting it out there and having a proud mum and dad moment

This is where it started with these 2 he was 12/13 as she was 6 months old
Darcy has done every bit of education and training on this mare he did the ground work broken her in i think dad did 1 ride
He should be very proud of how she has turned out

Don’t get me wrong it was his first filly to educate and man there were many tears along the way but we just kept telling him she will teach you more than you will teach her but when you get it you two will be unstoppable

Day 1 of The Man from Snowy River challenge. They are starting with the ba****ck obstacles course and Darcy is ready to go. It's a very tough course, so we'll see how he and his talented filly Galcodi Kalindi perform.
