It's not always grass seeds (other spring skin issues)
🌸 Itchy season is upon us!
Spring doesn't just bring grass seeds — it's prime time for other skin troubles too:
🐜 Fleas — warming weather means flea numbers explode. One flea can set off weeks of itching, especially in flea-allergic pets.
🌼 Environmental allergies — pollens and grasses can trigger red, itchy skin, paw chewing, face rubbing and recurrent ear infections.
🔥 Hot spots — those angry, wet, painful patches that appear almost overnight from licking and scratching.
👂 Ear infections — often a sign that something else (like allergy or, you guessed it, a grass seed!) is going on underneath.
Itchy skin has lots of possible causes, and the right treatment depends on the right diagnosis. If your pet is scratching, licking or shaking their head more than usual, bring them in — early treatment is kinder and cheaper than a flare-up that's had weeks to brew. 💙
