Right! This is a bit exciting for us, if also nerve-wracking. I'm chuffed to announce that we'll be hosting our very own Ballodair Park Riding Club pop-up dressage competition on July 2nd and 3rd.

We'll be offering .1 and .2 EA tests, plus FEI level tests, both days. If you're a member of the riding club you will receive an entry discount. This comp will follow the same structure as the Summer Series, which means all tests will be ridden in the current outdoor arena, and warm up/stewarding in the indoor arena.

*Details are now being finalised, and we'll post a link for entries here and on the Club page ASAP.*

UPDATE PLEASE NOTE: WE'LL BE ORGANISING SOME UNOFFICIAL EVENTS LATER IN THE YEAR. AND WITH UPCOMING OFFICIAL EVENTS, WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO INCLUDE BOTH YOUNG HORSE AND PARA CLASSES. WE'RE STARTING SMALL AND WILL BUILD FROM THERE, ONCE WE CAN EXPAND ACROSS ALL THE COMPETITION ARENAS.

Now all we have to do is cross our fingers for the weather to co-operate! And dream of riding as well a Carl, picture below.

In other news!!!! The next Brett Parbery clinic at Ballodair Park will be held July 17th and 18th. If you're interested in taking part please email us: [email protected] for all the details.

Brett is one of Australian dressage's national treasures, a great coach who gets the best out of horses and riders at every level. We always ride away with an achievement after one of his sessions.

Quick update from BPEC central. Club work continues. We're about ready to tabulate the survey results so we can craft a club schedule that provides the best bang for your buck. We've had an amazing, even overwhelming, response to starting up, and we're looking forward to getting to know everyone!

We'll shortly be launching the BPRC page, and until the official website is finalised (we want to do that once, and right!) that's where we'll make all club announcements. Stay tuned on that score.

In the meantime, we'd like to invite all club members to a meet and greet here at Ballodair Park from 10 am Sunday, June 14th. You'll get a guided tour of the facilities, a chance to meet and mingle with fellow club members, and hear first hand what we have planned for the rest of the year and into 2027.

For those members who are riding at the Hawkesbury Dressage Club Festival at SIEC that weekend, if you're not already familiar with Ballodair Park just drop us a line and we'll organise another time for you to be shown around.

We're also looking to hold our first clinic day on Sunday, June 28th. So save that day and stay tuned for details.

Looking for a casual stablehand or two to cover weekend work at Ballodair. Saturdays are standard, with feeding, rugging and un-rugging, assisting visiting riders. Sundays are usually an am/pm hay run. You can email us at [email protected] if you're looking to pick up some weekend work. Thanks!

🎉 Membership Sign-Up is NOW LIVE!!! 🎉

We have been hard at work behind the scenes, and we’re excited to let everyone know that the system is now working correctly for club membership sign-ups ✨

There are currently 157 spots available for Short-Term Memberships, which are valid until the 30th of June. Memberships will be capped at 200 people, so we encourage anyone wanting to join to secure their spot soon 🐴

📅 Renewal notifications will be sent to all members around the 11th of June, reminding you to renew your membership for the Annual Membership period.

Please note that all new and previous sign-ups will need to transition to an Annual Membership from the 1st of July onwards. Annual Memberships will be valid from the 1st of July through to the 30th of June the following year.

Club update: 💛 Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding while we continue navigating the membership system and working through the recent sign-up issues.

We wanted to provide another quick update — the system, unfortunately, displayed an incorrect number of members signed up. The good news is that we actually have 157 membership spaces remaining available, which is a lot better than 15! 🎉

✨For those who paid an incorrect amount during the sign-up process, refunds were issued yesterday afternoon, so please keep an eye on your bank account for the funds to come through.

We are aiming to have everything fully sorted today and will keep everyone updated as soon as registrations are ready to reopen.

Thank you again for your kindness, patience, and ongoing support while we work through these teething issues 🙏 We are incredibly grateful for the excitement and enthusiasm surrounding the club and can’t wait to welcome everyone officially very soon! 💛

Club Membership Update

💛 Thank you all so much for your patience and support while we work through the recent sign-up issues for the club. We know how frustrating this has been, and we truly appreciate everyone’s understanding as we get things sorted behind the scenes.
The good news is that we are very close to having everything fixed, and we are pushing our IT team to have the system running smoothly either today or tomorrow.

Due to the overwhelming popularity and support for the club, we have increased our membership cap from 100 members to 200 members 🎉. It has been absolutely wonderful to see so many people as excited about the club as we are, and we are incredibly grateful for the community's enthusiasm and support.

We currently have 185 people who have either successfully signed up or attempted to sign up during the system issues.

If you have paid the incorrect amount, we have been informed that refunds will be organised this afternoon. We will also be following up tomorrow morning to ensure this process has taken place as expected.

Once everything is fully operational again, we will reopen registrations so the remaining spots can be filled.

At this stage, it will most likely be at the start of next week. Fingers crossed, IT can get this sorted ASAP for us, as we know how excited you all are, and we can't wait to share our club with you.
