WEDNESDAY TRAINING IS HAPPENING from 5.00pm until 5.30pm with the weather looking all okay. Hope to see you at Nicolson Ave PS. We all know the heartache of losing your dog when he/she crosses the Rainbow Bridge. You may be aware of a dog who has been a viral internet sensation for the past 8 years who many of you may know well. He was Golden Retriever, TUCKER BUDZYN, who had 20 million followers on Facebook, Tik Toc, Instagram & You Tube. At only 8 years old, Tucker died a week ago, having been diagnosed, only a few weeks prior, with a malignant lymphoma. The internet has been flooded with both condolences & heartbreak. A song has already been written about Tucker & his loss to not only his family, but to the world. It will bring tears to any doglover's eyes & is titled "OUR DOG TOO". Every step will be taken to share it on this page.

DOG THERAPY VISIT TO COPPERHOUSE COURT 🐶🐾🧡

On Friday morning, 4/9/26, the Dog Therapy Team had a lovely, busy, fun filled visit with the residents and staff of Copperhouse Court.

We had what may be a record number of 10 dogs and handlers. The dogs were excited and very enthusiastic and were eagerly welcomed by the residents with lots of pats and cuddles. With so many dogs, we were able to divide into 2 groups and visit more residents, sharing more pats and cuddles for everyone.

The obedience demonstration was a hit, as always, with lots of laughs and a few crazy antics along the way! Calvin decided he was far too cute for obedience demonstrations and snuggled on his Mum’s lap watching his friends while he enjoyed all the cuddles he could get!

The dogs had a varied level of enthusiasm during the recalls, but Lucy showed them all how it was done…..even finding her Dad, Graham, when he disappeared out of sight. Cooper also showed off during his recall and then proceeded to find his Dad, Mick’s, lost phone.

Another lovely visit was had by all. We thank the lovely staff of Copperhouse, especially Paula and Lesley, for welcoming us once again. Special thanks to Julia for helping out with the dogs and being our photographer for the morning. Thanks especially to the beautiful residents for spoiling our pups with lots of pats and cuddles. We can’t wait for our next visit!

WEDNESDAY TRAINING IS A CELEBRATION. From 5.00pm until 5.30pm it will be cloudy, but with a very low chance of any rain, and a temp around 16. You may think that sounds like a very ordinary day, but, with a little bias here, it is far from ordinary. 2nd September is SHELDON'S 11TH BIRTHDAY. Pats & cuddles will be much appreciated. His birthday was celebrated last Sunday with cake and 6 other K9s.

SUNDAY TRAINING IS ON. Dont be fooled by the 20 deg max tomorrow. The morning will be COLD. Dress you & your pooch warmly. Most classes start at 10.00am with the Graduates and Agility on either side. The only ENTRY is through the new SINGLE GATE close to our CANTEEN. Hope to see you there.
