Little Dolly was my final groom from the laundry, so the next time we see her in 8 weeks, she be loving herself sick in the new Lucky Lap Dogs studio!

By then we’ll be heading back to summer sweatiness 🥵 so the air con will be in full swing 🥶🐾

It’s been really nice to welcome a few new pooches into the Lucky Lap Dogs fold over the last couple of weeks - I met Coco today, a Jack-a-Poo!

Coco had never had a haircut before and she was so good for the process.

Knew how to stand still and everything

Because she has a low maintenance coat, her folks and I decided we’re going to maintain about a 1cm coat length, every eight weeks, all year round, which means she’ll be cool in summer and warm in winter 😎

It also means Mum and Dad will get a list of dates which covers every eight weeks until the end of the year and confirmation messages a couple of days before each booking - set and forget!

I love helping new clients make their precious pups feel good again!

These two came in feeling the heat and needed a summer spruce up and that’s what they got!

I managed to keep some features that kept their cuteness though - that fluffy face of Topaz’s and the swishy tail on Matilda 😍🐾

Smudge really is a Super Schnauzer!

Cool, calm and collected - one of the chillest examples of a Mini Schnazuer I’ve met in my almost 20 years of grooming 🥰🤩

Funny story - funny now, not so much back then 😂 - the one dog that made me cry with frustation, literally 😭 was a Mini Schnazuer back in the old days in the Blue Mountains.

Everytime I would approach her with clippers or scissors she would get wriggly, literally scream piercingly like a human toddler - I swear people in the waiting area must of thought I was murdering children out the back!

I had to ring her Mum and ask her to come and get her cause she just wasn’t having it and then, very quickly, neither was I 😩😂

Good times 😏🐾

Happily, Smudge makes up for every naughty Mini Schnauzer I’ve ever been challeneged by 😍🐾

It feels nice to be able to support a local community group that I’m passionate about and to be able to do it in a way that makes me feel involved in a different way to which I usually contribute is fun too!
