This workshop is targeting dog enthusiasts who love to train skill-based work, sports competitors and Pro Dog clients working towards their level 4 assessment.

A focused heel is made up of many small pieces, each requiring careful attention and a level of handler coordination/precision. We need to develop a strong attitude in the behaviour, so ultimately we can build a sustained performance with a high level of handler engagement throughout. It’s a careful balance, with many challenges.

This is a private lesson package, carefully developed to assist with these behavioural issues. Your trainer does have access to dogs which can be used in these sessions.

A private lesson format is the best option for these cases, as it provides a more careful mechanism to introduce dogs and to start the counter conditioning process, leading to real results.

Once working through the private lesson package you will be far better equipped to join a class.

If the exercise becomes too repetitive, the dog will slowly lose motivation for the task. Precision work needs intensity and attitude, not just repetition.

It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to help educate and develop the next generation of dog trainers.

We’ve been running our shadowing and mentoring programs for several years, but this pilot program represents an exciting next step for Pro Dog Training.

A big thank you to The Pet Industry College for partnering with us. It’s been fantastic working alongside the team and bringing this program to life.

And a huge thank you to all the students who jumped on board for our very first program. What a great group of people to kick things off with!

We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to continuing to contribute to the development of skilled, knowledgeable and capable dog trainers.
