Congratulations to Dr. Ross on successfully completing the Equine Practice Company 3-Day In-Person Lameness Program Workshop 2026! 🐴

Over three intensive days, participants enhanced their knowledge and practical skills in equine lameness assessment, diagnosis, and management through hands-on learning and expert-led training with Dr Sue Dyson.

Dr. Ross is commitment to continuing education and dedicatied to providing the highest standard of care for horses. The advanced techniques and insights gained from this workshop will further benefit our equine patients and their owners.

Investing in continuing education means better outcomes for our equine patients.
This weekend Dr Belinda and Dr Antonia had the privilege of attending a comprehensive three-day Equine Ophthalmology Workshop led by internationally renowned veterinary ophthalmologist Dr Dennis Brooks, DVM, PhD, DACVO.
The workshop provided an in-depth exploration of equine eye diseases, diagnostic techniques, medical and surgical treatments, and the latest advances in equine ophthalmology. Gaining skills in recognizing and managing a wide range of ocular conditions affecting horses.
We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from one of the world's leading authorities in veterinary ophthalmology and look forward to applying this knowledge to provide the highest standard of care for our equine patients.
A big thank you to Dr Brooks for sharing his expertise and passion for equine eye health.

A great week for Dr Jada advancing her skills in equine dentistry. 🐴🦷 Dr Jada attened the EVDS dental course focusing on advanced dental assessments and treatment techniques in horses. Continuing education is crucial to veterinary work. Equine dentistry is constantly evolving and this course provides the opportunity to refine practical skills and stay up to date with current approaches to equine dentistry. With dental health being such an important part of equine care all of our veterinarians undergo advanced equine training to ensure we provide out patients with the highest level of dental care

We are excited to welcome Dr Lorin Ascoli to the Murray Vets team. Lorin was born and bred in the Northern Territory and grew up there until making the move to Townsville, North QLD where she acquired her bachelor degree in Veterinary Science from James Cook University in 2017. Lorin has slowly moved further south, having spent the first 6 years of her career in sole equine practice in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Most recently, Lorin worked in a mixed practice clinic in rural NSW, gaining exposure to a variety of different species and cases. prior to moving to Western Australia.

Lorin has a keen interest in all aspects of equine veterinary care, but particularly medicine, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging and general practice.

Outside work, Lorin spends her time chauffeuring her labrador, Abram, to various dog beaches and hiking locations, reading or gardening.
