Work in dog grooming? I’d love your input 🐾

I’ve launched the Australian Dog Grooming Industry Survey 2026 through Daggie Dog to get a clearer picture of what people earn, what salons charge and what it costs to run a grooming business.

It’s open to owners, employees, contractors, trainees and bathers across Australia.

Please fill it in and share it with your friends and contacts in the industry. The more people we hear from, the more useful the results will be.

We’ll publish grouped findings without identifying individuals or businesses, and you can request a free copy of the report.

Thanks for helping get it out there!

🐾 Experienced Dog Groomer Wanted | Central Coast

Charlie’s Mates is opening a new location in the Central Coast beachside area, less than 10 minutes from Avoca Beach.

Charlie’s Mates is the grooming division of the Daggie Dog group of companies, a growing Australian pet-care group creating real career pathways for grooming professionals.

We’re looking for an experienced groomer who takes pride in their work, genuinely cares about dogs and wants to build a long-term career with us.

This isn’t a salon where you’ll be pushed to rush through “one more dog.” We believe great grooming comes from skill, patience and putting each dog’s welfare first.

The role includes:

• Full grooms, breed clips and pet styling
• Sc******ng, clipping, bathing, drying and deshedding
• Nail, ear and coat care
• Working confidently with different breeds, coats and temperaments
• Assessing each dog’s coat, skin, behaviour and comfort
• Communicating clearly with owners about their dog’s grooming needs
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised salon

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has professional dog grooming experience
• Produces consistent, high-quality finishes
• Uses calm, safe and low-stress handling
• Can manage their appointments and time without compromising quality
• Is reliable, supportive and works well in a team
• Wants to keep learning and developing their career

Why join Charlie’s Mates?

• Above-award pay based on experience and skill
• Full-time or part-time options available after probation
• Supportive team and sustainable workloads
• Training and professional development
• Clear career progression from Groomer to Senior Groomer, Salon Manager and future leadership roles
• The opportunity to join a growing Australian pet-care group that values groomers as skilled professionals

Our approach is simple:

Raising standards. Supporting professionals. Putting dogs first.

To apply, email [email protected] with a short introduction, your grooming experience and a few examples of your work.

Know a talented groomer who deserves a better opportunity? Tag them or send them this post. 🐶✂️
