💙 A Tribute to Clyde 💙
On 23rd September, a very handsome old Labrador named Clyde crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the beautiful age of 15.
I have known Clyde since 2018, when I had the pleasure of photographing him and his little brother, Jock. Those photographs gave me the opportunity to meet this gorgeous boy, but 12 months ago I was given an even greater privilege — to begin treating Clyde for his arthritis and to become part of his journey.
Clyde was very special to me.
He was just three weeks older than my own beautiful Dudley, and in so many ways, they shared the same philosophy about life.
Clyde looked at life the way I think we all should.
Enjoy the simple things.Don't take life too seriously.Make the most of every single moment.
Long walks with his humans and his little brother Jock were some of his favourite things in the world. But if there was one thing Clyde absolutely loved, it was his pool. 💦🐾
And right up until the end, Clyde was still enjoying his swims.
He would jump into that water, have fun and simply enjoy every moment — because that was Clyde.
And isn't that what life is really about?
Not how many years we have, but how much joy we find in those years.
Clyde was 15 years old, but he never let his age define him. He continued to find happiness in the things he loved, surrounded by his humans and his little brother Jock.
Working with senior dogs is such a privilege, but it comes as the hardest part of my job. You can't spend time with these beautiful souls and their humans without becoming attached. They become part of your world, and when their journey comes to an end, it hurts.
Clyde's passing has broken my heart.
But I am incredibly grateful that I had the privilege of knowing him, photographing him, treating him and watching him continue to enjoy life in his own beautiful way. In true Lab style this little man enjoyed all the treats that were on offer, he especially enjoyed his cucumber and fruit - but he also had a liking for Dudley and Lucy's biccies 🍪
Clyde, I hope there are endless pools waiting for you on the on the other side of the rainbow bridge and yummy biccies and fruit to enjoy after your swims 💦🐾
Run free, beautiful boy.
You were loved. You were cherished. And you will never be forgotten. ❤️
Sending so much love and the biggest hugs to Clyde's Mum and Dad, and to his little brother Jock who is certainly lost without his big brother to watch out for him. ❤️
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your little man's life. And thank you for being such amazing humans and giving Clyde the life that dogs dream of having.
🌈 Until we meet again, beautiful boy

A Little Adventure Before I See You Again ❤️

Paw Prints Animal Therapies will be closed from
5.00pm Thursday 3rd September 2026 and will reopen at 8.00am Thursday 8th October 2026.

After what has been a really tough year, I’m taking some much-needed time away to do two things that are very close to my heart — adventure and Africa. ❤️
As many of you will know, I’m heading back to my favourite place in the world — Africa — where I’m going to attempt something that has been a huge personal goal of mine for a very long time…
Climbing the almighty Mt Kilimanjaro — 5,895 metres above sea level. 🏔️
Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and one of the Seven Summits, and I know it’s going to challenge me both physically and mentally. I’m excited, nervous, a little scared of the unknown… and absolutely determined to give it everything I have.
My summit day will be 15th September, which is also what would have been my beautiful boy Dudley’s 15th birthday. ❤️
Dudley has been such a huge part of my life, and although he won’t physically be beside me, he will be with me every step of the way.
Thanks to the beautiful Claudia from Jewellers Vault in Capalaba, I will be carrying some of my boy’s ashes with me in a highly crafted, very special pendant that Claudia has made especially for me.
So when I take those final steps towards the summit, I’ll be carrying a little piece of my beautiful boy with me. And I think there is something incredibly special about that. ❤️
Pole pole, Dudley.
Pole pole means “slowly, slowly” in Swahili — and it’s something I’ve said to Dudley many times over the years, especially as he battled his way up our very steep block in his final months.
Now, on 15th September, I’ll be saying it to myself as I make my way towards the summit.
Slowly, slowly. One step at a time. Together. 🐾🏔️
And once I’ve hopefully made it to the summit and back down, it’s time to swap hiking boots for my camera and head out on safari. 📷🐘🦁
I’ll be spending the next few weeks immersing myself in the African wilderness, watching wildlife, taking far too many photographs and hopefully making some very special memories along the way.

I will be completely out of phone service for the entire trip, although I will have occasional access to emails.
So, if you contact me while I’m away, please be patient with me. I promise I haven’t forgotten about you — I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m back in service and able to give you my full attention.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support, trust and for allowing me to be part of your dogs' lives. I genuinely love what I do, and the relationships I have built with both you and your beautiful dogs mean more to me than you probably realise.
Now it’s time for a little adventure of my own. ❤️
Wish me luck!! I’m going to need it! 😂
Take care of yourselves and your beautiful four-legged family members, and I’ll see you all again in October.
Amanda xx

🌈 A Tribute to Miss Maggie 🎾❤️
Miss Maggie… 💔
I have only known this gorgeous girl for a few months, but in that short time she certainly left a very big paw print on my heart.
Maggie was always full of life and so happy to greet you at the door, usually with a tennis ball close by. And when I say a tennis ball, I really mean one of her many, many tennis balls! 🥎😂

Maggie suffered with the pain and stiffness of arthritis, but with her regular treatments we were able to help keep her comfortable and doing the things she loved most — going on her multiple daily walks and, of course, spending time with her favourite things in the whole world… her tennis balls! 🥎❤️
And this girl really did have a collection! I think she had more tennis balls than I have ever seen any dog own. 😂 But this gorgeous girl was loved as Maggie, and certainly enjoyed to have such an impressive collection.
She absolutely loved playing with them, and watching her excitement when one appeared was just priceless. ❤️
Maggie also absolutely loved her treatment days. She was always so happy to see me and patiently waited for her end-of-massage biccie — which, without a doubt, was one of the most important parts of the whole treatment! 🥰
But above everything else, Maggie loved her family.
Mum, Dad, the kids, Nana and Grandad — she was surrounded by people who loved her more than anything in the world, and that love was most certainly mutual. She was their beautiful girl, and it was so obvious just how deeply she was loved.

When I heard the heartbreaking news of Miss Maggie’s passing, once again my heart was broken. 💔
Far too many beautiful souls have crossed the Rainbow Bridge this year, and with every passing, my heart breaks a little more.
You simply can’t do the type of work I do and not become attached to the animals you treat and the humans who love them. They become part of your life, even if it is only for a short time, and saying goodbye is without a doubt the hardest part of what I do.
But then I remind myself the work I do is highly rewarding. Knowing that I have been able to help these beautiful dogs feel more comfortable, move a little easier and continue doing the things they love — helping them live their best lives for as long as possible — makes every goodbye worthwhile no matter how hard and how many tears are shed.
And, of course, there are the cuddles, the smooches, the wagging tails and all those beautiful moments in between… 🥰🐾❤️
I am sending so much love and gentle hugs to all of Maggie’s family. ❤️
I am going to miss your beautiful girl so much. Anyone who was lucky enough to meet Maggie and spend time with her will have a very big hole in their heart now.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of Maggie’s life and for trusting me to help her stay comfortable and enjoy the things that made her happiest.
Run free now, sweet Maggie. 🌈
No more arthritis pain.No more stiff joints.Just endless fields, sunshine and all the tennis balls your heart could possibly desire. ❤️💔🐾💜
RIP sweet girl.
Go find your favourite ball and run after it forever. 🐾🌈❤️
