Our guest speaker, Bridie Scott-Parker, has 4 degrees in science and psychology, has spent 11,000 days of her life living with multiple sclerosis and is lucky enough to share this life with her many animals and birds. Bridie (or should we say 'Birdie') is completely obsessed with the wellbeing of parrots and will share her insights into bird keeping for people with disabilities. Conference Day 2 at Parrots 2026 brings another full day of outstanding guest speakers and presentations on Sunday, 19 July.

Topics across the day include parrot choice and behaviour, geriatric parrot medicine, Cape Parrot breeding programs, Jardines, Naretha Bluebonnets, Fear Free handling, and parrot conservation in Indonesia.

The weekend will conclude with a special Q&A panel featuring all guest speakers, giving attendees the chance to ask questions and hear from some of the leading names in aviculture, veterinary care, behaviour, and conservation.

It’s going to be a fantastic finish to our formal conference.
