We have a dedicated team of receptionists, nurses, and administrative staff to greet you at the front desk and make your visit with us as stress-free as possible, as your pet journeys through our hospital. Happy Hug Your Cat Day! 🐱💕

Today is the perfect excuse to give your cat some extra love and attention… assuming they allow it, of course 😅

Whether your cat enjoys cuddles, head scratches, sitting dramatically just out of reach, or simply judging you from across the room — we know they still hold a very special place in the family.

Feel free to share a photo of your feline friend in the comments — especially if they are expert huggers (or expert hug avoiders!) 🐾

You simply pay the gap (the difference between your invoice and your pet insurance policy claim benefit) and go.

🌟 New Signage! 🌟

We're proud to be part of the Warwick community and whenever we can, we love supporting other local businesses too. ❤️

You may have noticed some fresh new signage outside the clinic recently. A big thank you to Zooma Signs for helping us give our signs a refresh. We think they've done a fantastic job!

We've also been brightening up our front gardens with some beautiful new plants from Enchanted Garden Nursery. The extra greenery is helping make the clinic feel even more welcoming for our clients and patients. 🌿

It's always wonderful to work with local businesses who take pride in what they do. Thank you to both Zooma Signs and Enchanted Garden Nursery for helping us keep Condamine Veterinary Clinic looking its best. 🐾💖

🌟 Ziggy & Chester 🌟

Ziggy and Chester popped in to see us last week! ❤️

These two handsome Dachshunds are regular visitors for their nail trims, a**l gland expressions and any other care they need to stay happy and healthy.

They're part of a wonderful Dachshund-loving family. Their owner is one of our lovely long-time clients and when her daughters come to visit Warwick, they bring their Dachshunds along too. When everyone gets together, it's a real sausage dog convention! 🌭🐾

We always enjoy seeing Ziggy and Chester walk through our doors and catching up with their family. Thank you for trusting us with your pets' care. We love being part of their journey. 💞

🌟 Does Your Dog Have Arthritis❓ 🌟

Have you noticed that your pooch is a bit stiff in the mornings or a bit sore after a big walk? 🐕
It could be arthritis…🤔 In fact 1 in 5 dogs has arthritis. It is an incurable, debilitating disease of the joints that is often worse in winter.

Osteoarthritis is often noticeable later in its development because the initial changes within the joint are not visible. As dogs have 4 legs, they can shift weight and change their posture to cope with pain.
Often we hear pet parents say “he’s just slowing down..” or “he’s just a bit stiff”. It’s common for them to not notice changes in their dog's willingness to exercise and play as these changes occur over time and when they do finally show symptoms, the disease is already quite advanced and the dog is often in considerable pain.

Even younger dogs can suffer the effects of Osteoarthritis. If you’ve noticed your dog display any of the following signs, please book in for a quick check up. The pain of arthritis can be treated!

🔹Stiffness when getting out of bed in the morning
🔹Limping or stiffness after a walk or exercise
🔹Licking or gnawing at joints or paws
🔹Puffy joints
🔹Abnormal gait
🔹Reluctance to walk upstairs or jump
🔹Reluctance to play and run
🔹Changes in behaviour/aggression
🔹Postural change or muscle wastage

If you think your pet is showing any of the above signs, please contact us to book a consultation. 📞
Our vets will assess your pet, discuss the options with you, and recommend an appropriate course of treatment to help your pet feel more comfortable. ❤️

Rex came in recently for his first puppy vaccinations… and clearly found the whole experience absolutely exhausting 😴🐾

After plenty of cuddles and being told what a brave boy he was, Rex decided the best place for a post-vaccine recovery nap was tucked up in his little bed 💕

⚠️ PARACETAMOL IS TOXIC TO CATS ⚠️

A reminder that paracetamol (Panadol) should never be given to cats.

Even very small amounts can be extremely dangerous and potentially fatal to cats, because their bodies are unable to safely process the medication.

Paracetamol toxicity can cause:
🐾 Facial or paw swelling
🐾 Difficulty breathing
🐾 Weakness or collapse
🐾 Vomiting
🐾 Brown or blue-tinged gums
🐾 Liver damage

Unfortunately, we still occasionally see cats become very unwell after being given human pain relief medications at home with good intentions.

If your cat may have ingested paracetamol - even a small amount - contact us immediately on 4667 1176. Early treatment is critical and can significantly improve outcomes.

Please also keep all medications stored securely out of reach of pets, so they can stay happy and healthy 🐱

🌟 Client Testimonial 🌟

"I have been taking Trixie to this vets for the 4 years we have had her. The staff are kind and knowledgeable and always make sure that I understand exactly what’s happening and why. From surgeries to ongoing flea tick and worming preparations to nail trims. I receive reminders when Trixie is due for meds. And they are always cheerful and happy to see us. Thank you from Trixie and I."
