💙💛 MEET ZAZU! 🦜

Zazu is a beautiful 2 year old Blue and Gold Macaw, a species native to South America! 🌎

Most birds are masters at hiding illness and injury. In the wild, showing signs of sickness can make them vulnerable to predators, so they often appear perfectly healthy even when something is wrong.

Routine annual health checks allow veterinarians to monitor your bird's wellbeing, detect abnormalities early, and identify potential problems before they become serious.

⚠️ Common Bird Toxins to Avoid

❌ Lead, zinc, and copper
❌ Avocado
❌ Caffeine and chocolate
❌ Onion and garlic
❌ Excess salt and fatty foods
❌ Fruit pits and apple seeds
❌ Xylitol (artificial sweetener)
❌ Smoke and aerosols
❌ Overheated Teflon and non-stick cookware

🦜 Zazu’s Message:
When it comes to bird health, prevention is key! Regular vet visits and knowing which household hazards to avoid can help keep your feathered family members happy, healthy, and safe for years to come.

Is Your Pet’s Microchip Up to Date? 🐾

A microchip can help bring your pet home, only if your contact details are current.

Moving house? Changed your phone number or email? Got a new pet? Take a few minutes to check their microchip details.

If your pet goes missing, a vet or shelter can scan their microchip and contact you quickly. Giving you the best chance of being reunited.

Microchip your pet. Keep their details updated. Help keep them safe. ❤️

A few minutes today could make all the difference tomorrow.
