With the help of human and equine visitors, I managed a riding house full of Pasos! Well, with more human visitors, I might have managed another couple of combinations in there, but four was fantastic.

Featuring two Paso Finos and two Paso Creoles. Three mares and a gelding. Two bays, a black and a brown horse. Three half siblings on the sire's side. Two half siblings on the dam's side. All bred by me, two still owned by me. In order of age with oldest to youngest: Carlotta NS, Esmeralda NS, Orlando NS and Malena NS.

A casual evening session with multiple participants.

The weather was abysmal and I had these two in as their paddocks were a bit too soggy. Cali managed to tear his face open last week, so he is not with Keldan and Nico, but close by, getting his course of meds while the staples in his forehead are doing their magic. His half brother Darien looked cold and miserable so I brought him in and to keep the young fellow company.

This evening I didn't fancy bringing in any soggy horse to ride, so I spent a bit of time with the boys. A bit of lunging and sacking out with Darien, and Cali just participated for fun. Cheeky little sod kept on trying to steal the pad off Darien's back. They seemed to have fun, there was some grooming and it was a low stress, double value session with bonus amusement points. It is also good for a stallion to get to socialise with other horses a bit more. Just be a horse.

Spring seems to be just around the corner.

Cali (Cristobalito NS), Nico (Nicomedes NS) and Keldan enjoying the view from the dam wall. The two young Paso Finos have recovered well from their recent trip to the vet and are enjoying the life of leisure as geldings now. Keldan is providing some wisdom and company.

Cali, the palomino is staying, he'll be my future fancy riding Paso. Nico, the pinto is rising 2yo, he is available, ask me for details

Malena NS. Isn't she pretty?? And then there is the brio and the fabulous gait.... I'm really enjoying the journey with this one, and she seems to be happy to come in and do stuff.

She is a pure Paso Fino mare, 6yo, Reverende de United (Imp.USA) x La Emperatriz de CC (Imp.USA).

Pixie is starting to look pretty grown up (Tasman Elusiv Design, gaited Morgan mare). She will be 5 in October, and I have started to slowly introduce her to the business of riding. Still mostly groundwork and ponying plus a few short sessions learning about carrying a rider. Come spring, we'll do a bit more, and then we can slowly ramp it up.

We will start exploring her gait potential, but we will right away work on the cool dressage stuff to make her strong, agile and keen on her work. I'm already part way there, as she always comes to meet me. And tonight, we had the first play with leg lifts for Spanish walk.

Sometime down the track, I want to get a foal or two from her and Romeo as well, but first comes a good solid education :-)

I had a lovely little ride with Pinta today. We dodged most of the showers in the process.

That was her first ride after weaning Cali a couple of weeks ago (Cristobalito NS, Rev's last offspring). She was lovely and I'll be doing more with her again now.

Cali is paddocked with Keldan at the moment and is due to have an appointment with the vet in about a week. It was a difficult decision as he is an outstanding c**t, and Rev's last. And of course we have limited numbers of Paso Finos in Australia. But I have two half brothers (one on the sire's side and one on the dam's side). And so he will have a great life as a gelding and when grown up, be my fancy palomino Paso Fino.

Little ride with Pinta tonight, indoors due to the miserable weather. The little guy did some zooming. He looks so smooth. Only another 5 years or so before I get to ride him 😄

Cristobalito NS. Almost 5 months old now. Rev's last, and a bit of a chip off the old block. Mum is Pinta.

Esmeralda's first solo ride out. What a champion.

Esmeralda NS is a pure-bred Paso Fino mare by Reverende de United (Imp.USA), out of AuSome Zarzuela (Don Cristobal Mako (Imp.USA) x La Tentacion Mako (Imp.USA)). She is about 10, and had 2 foals, a filly from my gaited Morgan Cockatoo Park Pl***oy, and a c**t from my Paso Fino Winnfarms Darien (IIU NZ). The c**t (to be gelded) is a yearling buckskin pinto, and he is for sale.
