Grass seeds here. Grass seeds there. Grass seeds EVERYWHERE…..
The saxophones just keep getting louder! 🌾😩

Those tiny little seeds might not look like much, but they can cause some seriously painful problems for our pets and livestock.

Grass seeds can become lodged in paws, ears, eyes, noses and skin, and some can work their way deeper into tissue and organs causing inflammation, infection, abscesses and other complications.

🚩 Keep an eye out for:
• Head shaking or ear scratching
• Sneezing or rubbing at the nose
• Red, watery or irritated eyes
• Licking or chewing at paws
• Limping
• New lumps, swelling or wounds

If you suspect a grass seed is causing a problem, don’t wait for it to get worse — early veterinary attention can make a big difference.

And remember, it’s not just the dogs… grass seeds can cause problems for our horses and livestock too. 🐴🐄🐑

UPDATE: Owners Found. 🙏

We’ve had these two curious wanderers present themselves to the Warren Clinic this afternoon.

We’re not entirely sure what they were after… a check-up, some snacks, or perhaps just a change of scenery. 🤷‍♀️😂

If anyone knows who they belong to can they please contact the Warren clinic. 68474795

Thanks

I know we keep banging on about it… but you might just thank us later! 🙏

🐾 Pet insurance can make a big difference when the unexpected happens.

Each of these cases are from right here at our clinic and shows how pet insurance can help reduce out-of-pocket expenses for eligible claims and how Gap Only can process them on the spot.

From emergencies, hospital stays and accidents to ongoing medications, monthly arthritis injections, monthly allergy treatments or just a very unlucky series of events - veterinary treatment costs can add up quickly. Having pet insurance means you can focus more on your pet’s care and less on the financial stress that can come with unexpected veterinary bills.

Pet insurance won’t prevent emergencies, but it can provide peace of mind knowing you have support when your pet needs it most 💛

Interested in learning more? Use the QR code and search GapOnly® participating insurers to compare policies and see what options may suit you and your pet.

Coverage, benefits and out-of-pocket expenses vary between insurers and policies. Eligibility for GapOnly® claims is subject to your insurer and policy terms and conditions.
