We are a Victorian based rescue that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs. RE146926 Welcome to our page!

We are a newly formed Gippsland based dog rescue. We are a strong team of close friends who have all been working passionately in rescue for many years combined. We decided now was the time to come together and start our own rescue. This allows us to fully dedicate our passion of animals and animal rescue into developing a rescue based on our vast experience. We will cover all of Victoria and hope

to branch out interstate in the future. Our rescues will come from pounds, shelters and community re homing. All of our rescue dogs will be vet assessed and treated as soon as they come into our care. They will also be temperament tested. They will be desexed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations and worming etc before being re homed. Our adoption process will not be first to apply but based on who we believe will best suit each individual dogs needs. Bucky is a gorgeous 16-month-old Lab x looking for his forever family! 🏡🐶

This handsome boy is happiest when he’s with his humans and would love a family who enjoys having their dog by their side. Bucky is a big fan of sniffing and following his nose, so he would love plenty of walks, adventures and opportunities to explore all the wonderful scents the world has to offer! 👃🌿

💙 Bucky loves affection more than treats
🐶 Gets along well with other dogs
🐱 Confident around cats
🐔 Doesn’t chase chickens
🎓 Needs ongoing training and dog school
🧠 Needs plenty of mental and physical stimulation
🏡 Must have secure fencing
👧 Children haven’t been tested, but he will likely be fine with respectful children

Bucky is a clever, energetic young boy who is still learning how to be the best dog he can be. He needs a family who understands that a bored Lab is a destructive Lab! 😅 When Bucky doesn’t have enough to do, he can get himself into mischief, so his new family will need to keep his body and brain busy.

In return, you’ll get a loving, affectionate companion who would much rather have cuddles with his humans than snacks. 🥰

It is with a very heart that we say goodbye to a very special human being, Erme Saffrey. Erme passed away at home on Monday. Erma’s generosity to the rescue world was amazing, if she wasn’t sending donations, she was sending gifts to raffle. Her sense of humor, and pure love of all animals but especially pugs, will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Erme will go straight to the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge, where she will be met not only by her own dogs already passed, but by every little and big soul that was touched by her generosity and love

Barkin’ Mad Ultra is more than just a race – it’s a chance for dogs to run for dogs. Every registration helps support Aus Hair of the Dog Rescue Inc, a volunteer-run rescue based in Warragul, Gippsland, dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at life.
Whether you’re an experienced trail runner or simply love getting outdoors with your four-legged best friend, there is a challenge for everyone.

Meet Kevin!

Kevin is a 1 year old golden retriever who is now looking for his furever home.

He is a beautiful and loving Goldie who is full of energy.
This beautiful boy loves walks along the beach and trail and he loves chicken!
He gets on well with cats and young children. However, he does like to chew the cats bed. We believe he would be suitable for a family who has time at home with him.

He comes desexed with a gastropexy and fully vaccinated. He’s got some great manners already but needs more training at dog school.
